Managed Memory uSD Design Lead Engineer


As a Managed Memory uSD Design Lead Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc. you will be responsible for

leading the design and development of new uSD solid state storage products to support Micron’s

internal business units. You will be involved from product concept all the way to customer

qualification. This will involve working with a cross functional design team composed of ASIC, Firmware,

Media, product validation and other key groups.


Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Leading a cross functional design team spread out across multiple geographical regions
  • Consolidating and clarifying design requirements
  • Making key technical decisions and resolving technical issues
  • Managing resources and schedules
  • Directly supervising a small team
  • Delivering a robust product ready for high volume manufacturing


    Successful candidates for this position will have:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with solid state storage, non-volatile media or related products
  • Strong programming and debug skill in languages such a Python, C or C++
  • Experience working with embedded systems
  • A good understanding of CMOS devices and circuits
  • Familiarity with NAND Flash technology, operation and issues
  • Experience using high speed oscilloscopes, logic analyzers and protocol analyzers
  • Knowledge of storage interface specifications such as eMMC, UFS, PCIe, SATA, or SAS
  • Familiarity with mobile products, operating systems, and applications
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision making and analytical skills
  • The ability to clearly communicate and document technical information
  • Ability to manage complex schedules


    Education and Experience:

    BS +5 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related engineering field
