Job Description


The Customer Support Engineer will be responsible for supporting OEM customers at all levels (Distribution to Tier 1).  This role will be responsible for solving system issues in customer environments.  The team member would be required to be available to travel to customer sites.  Candidates should have a clear understanding of the storage industry as the role will involve reading bus traces, using debug tools, and the capability to instrument a SSD and SSD FW to solve issues.  The member will be expected to be able to drive to root cause of issues and communicate internally and externally to Micron.  This role will require the team member to have knowledge of FW management including FW release and CIV as it will require the team member to be able to commit changes into the FW organization following the defined processes.  





  • Storage industry experience in support of OEM customers
  • Understanding of SATA interface and associated tools
  • Understanding of SAS interface and associated tools
  • Understanding of PCIe protocol and AHCI, NVMe interface and associated tools
  • C, C++ and python programming proficiency
  • Understanding of ARM processors and toolsets
  • Proficiency in Logic analyzers and oscilloscopes





Bachelors Degree or Equivalent experience

  • Engineering (Computer, Electrical)
  • Management
  • Storage background preferred
