In our Munich Development Center for high-speed signaling we are developing, testing and characterizing industry-leading DRAM memories, which are used in high-performance computing, artificial intelligence, graphic cards, game consoles, automotive, autonomous driving.

As a Customer Sales Operations Specialist you will be responsible for:

  • interacting with our customer base to maintain and grow Micron’s customer relationships.
  • collaborating with internal and external partners to ensure market share and sales plan goals are met, while considering Micron’s best interest.

In Order Management Organization, we want to make the order process as efficient as possible and ensure we take full ownership and responsibility for solving any customer issues. This will require candidate to build and maintain a network of contacts with internal teams to help support and ultimately provide an outstanding experience for Micron’s customers.

The candidate will achieve this by continually striving towards our Global Order Management Organization’s Mission; “Enable Micron to be the top supplier for our customers by optimally handling customer communication and orders from inception to fulfilment and managing the people, processes and data connected to the order as it moves throughout the lifecycle”.

Responsibilities and Tasks

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Sox compliant order entry and management of orders.
  • Day to day management of customers’ accounts ensuring that a professional, collaborative, and engaged relationship is developed and maintained.
  • Ensure proactive steps are taken to optimize sales plans, maintain target inventory, and meet other metric goals.
  • Proactive monitoring/analyzing of sales forecast to identify gaps between supply and demand.
  • Work with internal partners for operational efficiency.
  • Focal point for customer-related operational issues /escalations.
  • Identify and strive for continuous improvement including the establishment of global best practices for customer support.
  • Remain knowledgeable about all organizations' products and services to support sales efforts, as well as Customers’ products and market to better serve customers’ needs and to represent Customer at Micron.

Education

  • Business Administration
  • Marketing
  • Related field of study

Experience

  • 3-5 years’ experience in Sales Operations position desired

  • Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook & Excel), ERP/CRM system or similar (SAP, Salesforce.com, SharePoint, Model N); a technical aptitude to learn software tools is required
  • Some travelling may be required to events, training and customer visits
  • Ability to represent the company in a highly professional manner both over the phone and face-to-face
  • Basic finance and accounting knowledge are desired.
