Job Title: Sr. Manager, MXA EHS

Job Description

The MXA Sr. EHS Manager will be responsible for the establishing and implementing of MXA occupational health & safety, environment standards/programs/projects at the site, reporting to site VP. He/She is required to develop strategies to ensure compliance with applicable local EHS laws & regulations, and to ensure compliance with Micron EHS policies/standards and RBA requirements. He/She is required to collaborate optimally with intra- and inter-department teams including global EHS teams in order to support the achievement of Micron’s strategic objectives and EHS critical metrics. He/She is also be responsible to collaborate with governmental authorities and other interested parties.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Description:

  • Develop, implement and maintain programs to ensure site operation is complying with existing laws, regulations, licenses, permits and ordinances pertaining to Occupational Health & Safety, environment.
  • Lead site ISO14001/OHSAS18001 certification efforts and maintain continual improvement to the EHS management system standards. Lead efforts to fulfil the customers social responsibility expectation and RBA requirements.
  • Lead, plan and implement projects/programs to support and achieve site EHS KPIs, site short term and long term environment sustainability objectives and site strategy objectives regarding to EHS.
  • Develop/deploy/sustain Fatality Prevention programs within site such as Work at Height, CoHE, Confined Space entrance etc. to build Incident & Injury Free workplace for both Team Members and Contractors.
  • Lead team on mitigation plans against serious safety events and ensure fire safety and gas safety.
  • Adapt and implement Micron corporate EHS programs at Xi’an site.
  • Perform regular site safety inspection, investigate and report EHS non-conformance, track CAPAs for all EHS related NCs and ensure they are closed optimally.
  • Write technical reports based on the interpretation of EHS data, observations, and current regulations.
  • Bring EHS integrity to site EHS organization and drive organization towards the best EHS practices.

Management Responsibilities:

  • Develop and build an effective team under her/him
  • Continuously build up team’s technical proficiencies through knowledge sharing and industry benchmarking regarding EHS
  • Motivate team to perform to the highest potential

Education

Bachelor’s Degree and above major in: Safety Engineering, Environment engineering, Chemistry or other Engineering related…

Qualifications

  • Fully understands and has experience with ISO14001 & OHSAS 18001 management systems and EHS regulations, knowledge of RBA Code of Conduct is plus
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications
  • Proficient in both oral and written English languages
  • Good presentation skills
  • 7+ years EHS work experience
