As a Senior Global Learning & Development(GL&D) Manager at Micron, you will be responsible for the management and development of direct reports to enable superior GL&D solution design and implementation. You will be responsible for managing and improving GL&D performance by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to build and execute service GL&D strategies aligned to corporate strategic objectives. You will assist with improving individual competencies by conducting performance appraisals with team members to create goals and development plans. You will monitor performance metrics to identify and implement continual improvement opportunities. Other responsibilities include ensuring organizational compliance to company policies and regulations, as well as to departmental procedures, and providing organizational leadership for building and implementing department strategies, processes, and policy through active participation in functional teams and projects, as well as mentoring other functional leaders through collaboration and the development of sustainably successful solutions.

 

 

Responsibilities and Tasks:

 

Manage L&D Delivery:

•Partner to establish processes and methods for global and regional design and facilitation with the GL&D team

•Implement and execute the GL&D priority/programs in China region

•Participate and contribute to global learning programs (e.g. content design/focus group discussion etc.)

•Design/implement site specific learning solutions based on business needs

•Key connection between regional business needs and global L&D group, keep effective communication for feedback or new program updates for both side

•Assist in the troubleshooting of escalated issues and provide coaching for resolution

•Learning system maintenance for enterprise level

•Manage learning process/policy improvement

•Manage GLD performance metrics

•Manage internal budget

•Manage internal audit (learning and development related)

 

Build an effective team:

•Manage team performance, build high performance team to provide GLD solutions to business

•Prioritize work, remove barriers, and drive for accountability for the whole team

•Manage team staffing/working allocation and succession (e.g. provide communication regarding job expectations and changes, coach and provide career development guidance, conduct team performance appraisal etc.)

•Provide line of sight to strategic objectives, build high performance climate

 

Ensure a Safe, Compliant, and Ethical Work Environment

•Maintain knowledge of and apply company safety, labor, and ethics policies

•Communicate requirements to applicable team members and external stakeholders

•Oversee execution of mandatory training for direct reports

•Identify and resolve and / or report potential safety, security, and labor issues
