Job Description

As PMO (Program Management Officer) Manager at Micron Xi’an you will be expected to collaborate with leadership to prioritize strategic programs that deliver outcomes towards strategic objectives as defined by the VP and Site Director’s performance plan. You will be expected to advocate, mentor, develop team members on program – project – CIP fundamentals, processes, systems that are approved by the Micron Xi’an management team. You will be expected to follow up and coordinate all site wide activities which the site director is responsible for.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage program definition, sponsor and stakeholder expectations and requirements
  • Define alignment of programs on backend/site strategic objectives
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations
  • Facilitate programs to sustaining mode or close out programs
  • Work with the site team and business partners on program to create road map strategies
  • Identify opportunities to improve and sustain business processes and practices that will allow Micron to be more effective
  • Demonstrate ability to move projects effectively through project lifecycle – propose, initiate, plan, execute, and Post Implementation Review (PIR) – while balancing time, cost, quality, scope, and risk/opportunity constraints. Manage changes in program scope. Identify potential crises, and develop and execute resolution plans
  • Utilize strategic tools, such as K-T Project Management, and K-T Problem Solving/Decision Making, to plan and communicate project objectives and deliverables
  • Motivate stakeholders, sponsor and all project team members to take ownership of project and its success
  • Understand and use the best media (e-mail, SharePoint, Global Workforce Platform (GWP), PowerPoint, etc.) and techniques for transferring ideas, information, and updates to a particular audience
  • Collaborate with leadership to identify needs/gaps/opportunities for site operations that deliver outcomes to achieve SOs 

     

    Scope:

  • Own Site wide professional training and development program
  • Site crisis management owner and Facilitator of China crisis management
  • Site communications owner, take care of site overall communication structures and process
  • Organize and facilitate site wide meetings, include but not limited Site Staff meeting, People council, ATM, Executive visits, Corporate visits (groups that don’t have TMs on Site), etc.
  • Organize and lead site wide events and activities, include but not limited Site Team building, Employee sports clubs, Annual party, corporate activities…
  • Lead Site wide security enhancement projects
  • Support external community / Charity programs and Branding
  • Site Business Process owner for site wide organization context and risk & opportunity management
  • This position report to Site Director directly.

     

     

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree or above
  • 5 years’ experience in semiconductor manufactory
  • Honesty & integrity with high standard of ethics is critical;
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and fluent in English and Chinese
  • Have strong crisis/emergency handling and problem solving skills;
  • Have strong social and interpersonal skills for networking & building relationships with outside stakeholders;
  • Able to collaborate effectively and drive results across multi-functional groups;
  • Demonstrate initiative, attention to detail and the ability to operate independently;
  • Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing operations and cost is preferred;
  • Ability to multitask and balance multiple priorities in a fast, dynamic environment
