Job Description

 

As a MXA CTE Equipment Engineer, you will be primarily responsible for studies Test equipment performance and reliability. Establishes programs and solutions for increasing uptime and for equipment problems that affect the manufacturing process. Provides technical support to the manufacturing equipment repair and engineering organizations. Defines and writes preventative/predictive maintenance schedules. You will also be responsible for identifying, selecting, evaluating new equipment / new technology to support current and future requirement. Additional tasks include collaborating with other cross functional group on upgrades of existing production equipment through continuous improvement projects

 

 

Responsibilities

 

Drive TOR (Tool of Record) Equipment Performance to reach Best-In-Class

  • Perform Tool risk and Gaps analysis of Production tools/Toolings
  • Bring BKM to site by working through CST, KET team
  • Work with IE, Process, MFG, Test Engineering to reduce Utilization Losses

Coordinate installation and qualification of FOAK (First of A Kind Equipment) Tool and hangover to production group 

  • Plan/submit capital request to acquire new Equipment
  • Create purchasing specification (Doc2) document
  • Establish the new equipment qualification criteria and activities roadmap with respective functional team
  • Establish project handover requirements and procedures upon machine qualification 
  • Prepare documentation for handing over with respective site owner
  • Conduct data gathering for low volume production
  • Conduct Training of the new tools / upgrade /solutions
  • Feedback loop for Continuous Improvement after mass volume production

Identify, select and evaluate new equipment / new technology to support current and future requirement

  • Maintain general knowledge of process and material characteristics and translate to equipment design requirement
  • Define and document new equipment design/capability requirements aligned to Product roadmap
  • Work with equipment suppliers to develop new capability
  • Engage in active participation in KEG (Key Engineering Group) activities
  • Conducts equipment benchmarking to establish the equipment suppliers and platforms for future need.
  • Create decision matrix for equipment and material selection

 

Education

  • Required
    • Bachelors/Master degree in Mechanical/Mechatronic/Automation/Robotic/Industrial Engineering  

 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Fast learner, with initiative and independence
  • Excellent communication skills both in Chinese and English.
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic
  • Good team player and foster collaboration among the team members.

 

Required Knowledges, Skills and ability

 

  • Knowledge of technical engineering design, development, and standards
  • Knowledge of mechanical/ electrical/ software control technology
  • Knowledge of new equipment introduction, qualification, buyoff, and continues performance improvement
  • Good knowledge on equipment maintenance with TPM,VSM,6S programs
  • Innovative and resourceful person who knows from where and how to obtain potential supplier information is a plus
