As an EBU Automotive Functional Safety (FuSa) Advisor Sr. Manager, you will be responsible for developing the right path to ISO26262 compliance for Micron products through the right implementation of methodologies, tools and establishing the right resources to support it. This support shall include, but not be limited to, new silicon development, existing silicon. The FuSa Advisor Sr. Manager will work with a variety of business units, product teams, and corporate groups to establish and maintain a safety culture. The FuSa Advisor Sr. Manager will also assist Micron’s marketing and sales organizations to develop an appropriate Functional Safety public message. This will include, but not be limited to, customer visits, web site information, sales collateral material, and training of the sales and field application engineering teams.

 

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Analyze impact of ISO26262 on Micron and create Functional Safety awareness across all the departments providing feedback to senior management on strategic decision, leading discussion at the higher level of the organization using negotiation and persuasion skills to influence decisions of peers and upper management
  • Be main point of contact of Safety toward safety External consultant and responsible for the interpretation of process related ISO 26262 requirements, and work together with BU and central organization to implement appropriate processes (company-wide or project-specific).
  • Advice Technical Leads in the interpretation of ISO 26262 technical requirements, and possible implementation in the project. Supporting in an effective way technical discussion with all the ecosystem (CSV/TIER1/OEM and Suppliers)
  • Competent safety contact for all questions regarding safety aspects of the project.
  • Ensure that adequate records are created to document evidence on performed functional safety activities.
  • Lead and coordinate creation of functional safety documentation according ISO 26262 for all the safety management activities for Product Safety during all project phases (concept, product development, production) including SEooC definition and Safety analysis as DFMEA, FMEDA, DFA
  • Work with Product architect in identifying safety architectures and safety plans to ensure compliance with ISO26262
  • Specify detailed safety requirements, including diagnostic and software requirements applying knowledge to achieve quality improvements, cost control, and production efficiency
  • Conduct reviews with product teams to ensure functional safety standards are being met throughout product development cycles

 

Job Requirements:

Required

  • Very senior with the ability to develop a new field (FuSa) independently, and decision-making capabilities
  • Very experienced in the technical aspects of semiconductor development project
  • Experienced in ISO 26262
  • Experienced in the management of R&D projects and/or R&D teams Knowledgeable (overview) of quality assurance aspects in an R&D project
  • Minimum 10 years of automotive semiconductor background.
  • Demonstrates a practical yet rigorous interpretation of ISO-26262 requirements.
  • Comfortably works with people from a wide variety of backgrounds, experience, and technical capabilities.
  • Preference to persuade people, listen and adapt to new ideas, rather than relying on inflexible rules.
  • Willing and able to travel to various international locations.
  • Minimum Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Physics
  • Fluent in English


Useful to have:

  • Digital or analog silicon design experience
  • Understands Q100, PPAP, and TS/IATF-16949 requirements.
  • S/W quality and CMMI/AutoSpice competence
  • Automotive or semiconductor or software quality relevant certifications
