Job Description 

We are changing the way Micron thinks about IT solution and are looking for an experienced IT professional to join our Enterprise Applications - Quality Solutions team. As one of the Micron values: Collaboration, you will be working with different team of users, counterparts over multiple geographical locations and different time zones for the world of enterprise applications. As an IT Business Analyst within the team, you will be responsible for both implementing new systems and supporting existing systems for global core organizational functions in procurement and legal domain. You will use the following standardized release procedures: coordinating, planning, monitoring, documenting, testing, and scheduling in a manner consistent with department standards when applicable. You will also help align the capabilities of the Micron software and design business processes and requirements based on business needs. Besides, you will be part of an agile team which leveraging Agile & Scrum methodology and your role would be the scrum master of the team. You will partner with the team to deliver value frequently, assist them in clearing impediments to meet their Sprint commitments, provide process coaching, and help the team to meet their delivery and continuous improvement goals. You will also work with Product Owners, other Scrum Masters, Project Managers and IT leads to ensure they have a thorough understanding of the backlog as well as help the team interact and collaborate successfully with other teams in their Value Stream.

 

Responsibilities and Tasks

Gather and formalize business requirements.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business requirements, vetting against the scope of the initiative.
  • Validate requirements with representatives who will be affected by the business process or change and receive sign off from the stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with implementation team (including Area Architects, Software Engineers, etc.) to determine best IT solution for identified business problem and develop estimates of effort for proposed system changes
  • Create documentation (business rules, as is/to be flows, requirements, data configuration, use cases, functional specs, and testing forms).
  • Facilitate collaboration between affected groups to gain acceptance of the process changes and complete assigned tasks by the due dates.
  • Partner with product owners to manage their prioritized stories.
  • Understand key business objectives and strategy, communicate to the team in partnership with the product owner.

 

Propose applicable system changes.

  • Analyze existing system functionality and business processes in the scope of the business need and design valued, cost-effective solutions that will efficiently function to support the customer requirements.
  • Conduct research on software functionality and changes (User groups, Product Support Documentation/OSS, etc.).
  • Identify and/or enter data needed in the development and test environments to validate configuration changes.
  • Validate configuration changes meet the customers’ requirements without negatively impacting existing functionality.
  • Document system configuration changes and perform the role of Release Manager/Champion as needed.
  • Collaborate with business group members to ensure the full end-to-end business process will function and meet business requirements within the project scope.

 

Champion system testing.

  • Create, communicate, and coordinate test plans and test cases (integration, functional, user acceptance, regression, security, etc.) & perform the role of Tester or Test Manager as needed.
  • Manage Issue Analysis to confirm defects.

 

Provide mentoring and training.

  • Collaborate with the implementation team to provide early life support for the initiative, taking ownership for transitioning all appropriate information to teams responsible for long term system health and supportability.
  • Work with the IT and/or Business Training Team representative to create training materials (QRCs, procedures, manuals, recordings, instructor-led training, training plans, etc.) to facilitate the end users’ application of skills and knowledge in the workplace.
  • Train customers, support teams, and the business on system changes, new functionality, new process, etc.
  • Enable the team to meet sprint goals by helping to remove roadblocks.
  • Foster and coach the team for adoption of Agile tools and practices.
  • Support Agile maturity and Innovation approaches across teams.

 

Support service management.

  • Collaborate with Operations Managers to define and document Accountable, Responsible, Consulted, Informed (ARCI) and Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) models.
  • Champion system support documentation quality.
  • Recommend improvements to, or new requirements for, business processes and operational procedures.
  • Participate in the service assessment by creating metric catalog entries, reviewing data compliance, and defining standards.
  • Analyze reports to define, escalate, and resolve risks.
  • Provide visibility into progress of team velocity and sprint/release activities.
  • Coordinate and/or facilitate story mapping, sprint/release planning meetings, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives and demos.

 

Collaborate with the project manager / product owner.

  • Assist the Project Manager in assigning tasks and tracking the status of action items when called upon.
  • Assist the Project Manager with the project plan, as needed, including providing hours estimates for the work required.
  • Assist in the creation of a Communication Plan and a Risk Management Plan.
  • Provide process background information and history to the project manager.
  • Escalate risks and issues and assist with issue resolution management.
  • Participate in lessons learned.
  • Work with product owner to develop and prioritize the backlog.

 

Provide customer support.

  • Troubleshoot customer issues on products supported within the business domain.
  • Provide guidance for the support teams by creating knowledge articles, process and procedure documentation, and training materials.
  • Participate in the on-call support rotation, as needed, and provide escalation support on early stage of product-Go Live.

 

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or Computer/Electrical/Electronic Engineering
  • At least 5 years of working experience/knowledge in SAP functional and technical knowledge in QM/MM/PM module.
  • Good Knowledge in integration with other SAP modules is a plus (FI, CO, SD and CRM)
  • Would be plus if:
    • Prior experience in semiconductor/ inventory business.
    • Prior experience in inventory workflow: warehouse, logistics and supply chain.
  • Experience as a scrum master or agile coach, leading agile release and sprint planning, and enabling associated metrics
  • Experience in restructuring/realigning team processes and working to resolve systemic process challenges
  • Candidate with Scrum Master Certification would be added advantages.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to multi-task and manage both individual and group tasks simultaneously, and to take initiative on system issues.
  • Willingness to work on flexible schedule, overtime and occasional weekends during product Go Live.
  • Solid communication and presentation skills, fluent in both Mandarin and English.
