Job Description

As the FE CPIE RDA Engineer/Snr Engineer at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for Developing the defect reduction and defect control best-known-methods and business processes of Front-End Manufacturing world-wide. To accomplish this, you must collaborate in close partnership with various fabs in the network, R and D and equipment suppliers.

Consolidate a Technologies defect status and report it clearly in weekly defect meetings as a Technology Defect Reduction Owner. In addition to these, further optimization of defect reduction BKMs to ensure Micron’s leadership in global minimum defectivity is being actively pursued. With the global nature of our company, occasional International travel will be required.

 

Responsibilities and Tasks

     

Collaboration

 
  • Partner closely with production, R and D and Central cross functional teams to ensure successful communication and cooperation for project implementation. Effective relationship building is key.
 
  • Exhibit a Team Building mentality.
 
  • Detail oriented with the ability to work independently and in a Team.
 
  • Facilitate and lead activities related to defect reduction improvement (DL3).
 
  • Drive improvement and alignment defect source naming across the sites. Includes IDL/ EDL.
 
  • Manage priorities and enhancements to improve business processes and existing systems that are global in nature.
 
  • Monitor adoption of standardized defect reduction BKMs, respective Fabs area status and provide help to respective ramping sites when required.
 
  • Possess knowledge of Fab processes and a basic understanding of probe and parametric functions.
 
  • Drive further year on year optimization of implemented methodologies for reduced defectivity.
 
  • Dependability and able to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
 
  • Willingness to work during non-standard hours when needed to provide support to engineering teams at any Micron site.
     

Data Analytics

 
  • Strong Computer literacy for defect data analysis.
 
  • Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Must be experienced in using Excel and/or Yield3 software for data analysis.
 
  • Must possess experience in YMS or Defect Database such as KLArity Defect.
 
  • Must possess experience in Wafer Fabrication process in Defect Reduction or Yield Improvement roles.
 
  • Proven ability to make decisions, multi-task, and troubleshoot problems and address root causes.
     

Communication

 
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
 
  • Excellent in communication, teamwork and collaboration with other departments.
 
  • Self-motivated: Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
 
  • Proven ability to make decisions, multi-task, and troubleshoot problems and address root causes.
 
  • Able to travel when required to support department and company objectives.

Qualifications

   
 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
 
 
  • Able to work independently or with a cross functional team.
 
 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications. (SharePoint, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Outlook)
 
 
  • Good organization skills and able to plan and prioritize.
 
 
  • Experience in defect reduction and defect control projects is a plus.
 
 
  • Knowledge of key systems (KLArity, SPACE, Yield3, JMP, Prism)
 
 
  • Data extraction, analysis and reporting skills are a plus.
 
 
  • General understanding of device physics - extensive knowledge is a plus.
 
 
  • Displayed good time management and judgment skills.
 
 
  • Willingness to commit to 1-2-year commitment in MCT and the ability to travel.
