Micron’s Taiwan sites include sales and technical support in Taipei along with state-of-the-art fabrication facilities in Taichung and Taoyuan that together comprise the company’s DRAM Center of Perfection. The Center’s goal is to achieve the most efficient and effective technology transfer and manufacturing ramp by combining front- and back-end manufacturing, product engineering and technology development roles.

Description:

We facilitate improvement of manufacturing capability, executing global business processes, and enabling the leverage of world-wide resources to deliver Best-In-Class performance. We drive global peer groups to align and optimize manufacturing performance; which will include involvement in resolving tactical issues and execute to this by focusing on manufacturing big rock performance gaps (metrics) and leverage the global network to define solutions that can be driven across all sites. We will work with your customers on benchmarking these metrics to improve performance in the Micron Backend.

Key Metrics are CE/SS avoidance, NCU% reduction, quality excursions reduction through deploying Defense Line related activities like Fast and Early Detection. This would include significant exploratory work in establishing Metro/RDA TOR (Tool of Record) and setting standards and requirements for POR (Process of Record). Additional responsibilities include the knowledge and use of statistical tools and concepts to ensure the quality of measurement/inspection data generated and the requirements needed of the Metro/RDA TOR.

This position requires interfacing with Site Manufacturing Engineering, Site Quality, Central Engineering, Global Purchasing and Planning groups to review and evaluate manufacturing changes

 

Responsibility 1: Define TOR for Metro/RDA, Capex Saving Initiative & Business Process

  • We Ensure the timeliness of metrology/RDA tool MTEP and TOR fanout deployment across the network to support manufacturing needs!
  • We Support Metro/RDA MTEP Evaluation, Decision Analysis and TORRB review meetings!
  • We Develop and manage projects designed to reduce cost, improve throughput, reduce tool measurement variability and perform research and develop new metrology capabilities to improve detection capability!
  • We Partner with the metrology/RDA tool vendors to develop new hardware, software, and technologies related to recipe and hardware performance improvements!
  • We Support Metro/RDA TOR Doc2 management in ADCS System!

 

Responsibility 2: Define Standards, Strategy, Methodology and Business Process

  • We have supplier Engagement on Quarterly Business review and Technology Roadmap to resolve tactical issues and develop strategic partnership!
  • We determine the Global metro/RDA sampling strategy and standard!
  • We establish business process standards, specifications and documents.!
  • We develop methodology for Metro/RDA Tool Matching/Equivalence within and across Manufacturing sites!
  • We develop methodology for Metro/Inspection Data Continuity across all metro/RDA steps!
  • We partner with Global Quality to ensure Measurement System Analysis are executed according to standards on all metro/RDA systems in the network!
  • We establish Recipe Setup (POR) and Change Protocol for all Metro/RDA workstations types!
  • Ensure IT resource allocation to support data automation from Metro/RDA tools to SPC or yield analysis/management software!
  • We Audit Sites periodically to ensure compliance and alignment to business standards, specifications and documents!

 

Responsibility 3: Alignment/BKM, Define System & Process

  • We function as Metro/RDA CST (Copy Smart Teams) Lead to ensure BKM fanout and alignment across manufacturing sites!
  • We Establish MOR for Metro/RDA steps for Cycle time and sampling tracking!
  • We Participate 8D review on Excursions, Control Point hardening and PFMEA programs to pareto detection gaps!
  • We Formulate Metro/RDA Tool and Recipe Technology Transfer Business Process!

 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science or Statistics
  • Knowledge of Assembly manufacturing process and quality engineering experience will be added advantage
  • Good knowledge in some following programming or scripting languages like Java, Linux, Matlab, C#/C++, Python, Perl and/or R on Linux/Windows platforms is preferred.
  • Experience in MSA (Measurement System Analysis) and Metro/RDA recipe/equipment is highly preferred
  • Knowledge and understanding of Statistical Process Control (SPC), process control and its reaction mechanism
  • Proven capability to work, interface, and communicate with a wide variety of people and groups in an effective manner
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex and global projects with a strong interest in working in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written    
  • Strong data analysis, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Good documentation skills with very strong attention to details
  • Working knowledge of analytical and statistical tools eg. Klarity, Discover, JMP will be an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel internationally periodically
