Job Description

As a Senior Distribution Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading a variety of distribution sales and operations activities to achieve company objectives. This will include ensuring timely, accurate, and prompt forecasts, handling financial modeling and statistical studies, integrating sales efforts with operations to drive adequate supply and timely shipments. In this position, you will also be responsible championing collaborative efforts with distribution partners targeting focus customers and market segments to ensure efficient utilization of sales resources while developing customer engagement programs with the highest return. Complete ownership is expected throughout the entire sales process working with both Distribution partner and Micron Sales/Operations, Marketing and Engineering resources.

Responsibilities and Tasks

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Driving business plans to align with Business Units.
  • Leading sales efforts at strategic customers and market segments with an emphasis upon the Embedded Marketplace.
  • Responsible for both quarterly and long-term execution of company sales plans.
  • Driving major distribution partners to excel in new design in and design win business efforts.
  • Managing key Distribution metrics of inventory, forecasting, market/competitive analyses.
  • Complete Distribution account ownership and accountability for business management and development activities specific to the Micron’s strategic customers


  • Possess a commanding knowledge and proven track record of sales and business development experience in memory/storage and related semiconductor industries.
  • Have strong product knowledge in storage applications, preferably in the areas of DRAM, NAND components, SSDs and storage interfaces (SAS, SATA, and PCIe)
  • Have a deep understanding of storage test processes, reliability, performance attributes, and differentiation factors between enterprise/client segments is a bonus
  • Understand competitive dynamics and strategies of industry players, technical and other differentiated capabilities required to win in the marketplace
  • Have a proven track record to work efficiently in a fast paced and team focused environment.
  • Have excellent organizational and leadership skills as well as outstanding interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Have strong verbal and written English communication skills along with solid presentation skills


Required: Bachelors Degree: Business

Desired: Bachelors Degree: Technical or Equivalent experience


  • Minimum 10+ years experience: Semiconductor / Distribution Sales
