The VP is responsible for developing the business strategies and establishing business plans for the center of excellence to drive innovation and benchmark performance. You will direct all aspects of the backend process and team development within the center of excellence as well as play an integral leadership role in the Backend Operations Senior Leadership Team to enable the success of Global Operations and overall Micron Strategy. You will have the expertise in strategic engagements with external supplier and/or vendor


  • Responsibilities
    • Define business initiatives and set direction for the center of excellence to meet strategic business objectives, including critical evaluation of backend growth strategies in Taiwan
    • Drive benchmark culture within the organization in Quality, Cost, Yield, Cycle Time and Safety.
    • Lead the center of excellence team to deliver on product qualification (NPI), output and cost commitments.
    • Drive innovation, performance, continuous improvements and ensure resources are appropriately allocated and optimized
    • Collaborate with Central Teams, Business Units, other sites and external groups in Micron’s network to support company’s overall needs and objectives.
    • Mentor the center of excellence leadership team and develop talent pipeline.
    • Provide guidance on people strategies to attract, retain and reward talent and effectively deploy them to maximize every individual’s potential.

Key Criteria

  • Management of wire bond and Flip Chip assembly operations (priority)
  • Management of Test operations
  • Management of PWF (wafer bumping) operations
  • Passion for yield improvement
  • Strong collaborative mindset with focus on promoting team work while leveraging the network
  • Experience working in a multinational organization and engaging with global leadership in a matrix environment
  • Experience in ramping and leading manufacturing sites


Location: Taichung, Taiwan
