Job Description

As an QSE Engineer at Micron Taiwan (MTB), you are responsible to ensure the site compliance to the global Quality Manual and Quality Management system. You are responsible to manage internal/external audit and ISO9001/IATF16949 audit. This position will require you to coordinate with Corporate QMS, QRA, Manufacturing, Product Engineering, and other areas to develop a Best in Class Quality Culture.

Additionally, the MTB QSE Engineer are required to work with business partners and key stakeholders to develop a strategy for maintaining and continually improving quality systems, contributing to quality improvement projects, and supporting customers or activities to resolve non-conformances.

Responsibilities and Tasks

Support Strategic Vision and Quality Program/Project Management Initiatives

  • Contribute to building a Worldwide Quality team that will drive to zero deviations from customer product requirements.
  • Drive alignment and collaboration guidance from Quality Organizations in Manufacturing, QRA, and PE.
  • Develop, manage, and/or communicate quality line of site metrics and goals.
  • Drive projects and business process that will reduce overall process and equipment variation.
  • Assist in providing a “quality vision” for the Operations Central Team organization and how projects align to that vision.
  • Drive accountability through clear communication, feedback, effective project management and appropriate usage of metrics.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives or enabling projects that support MLT and Company quality objectives.
  • Assist in the development of metrics for benchmarking Project Performance. Identify and share BKM’s across departments and sites for project success.
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of internal quality tools, quality concepts, ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and Micron’s Quality Manual
  • Ensure training is provided as new quality business processes are developed and assist in development of training materials
  • Act as a local coordinator or provider of training, relating to quality management business processes, and systems if needed.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of a Quality Management System for assigned areas.
  • Assist in the development of QMS system, tools, and processes (FMEA based risk mitigation, GCP conversion, enterprise excursion processes, and internal, customer, and registrar audit and follow-up processes).
  • Manage Document Control for site.
  • Work with fabs to ensure local training needs are met.

Maintain Communication and Customer Relations

  • Maintain a strong and open relationship with peer group and appropriate managers in other functional areas.
  • Communicate and respond to issues in a timely manner
  • Effectively present to both small and large groups on project updates and new initiative proposals
  • Periodically follow up with management team to ensure area goals are being met and get assistance in the removal of any obstacles that are preventing their completion. Use all available resources to manage the successful completion of goals
  • Ensure members have well documented updates on both area issues and projects on a regular basis.
  • Provide updates both internal to the group, as well as all Fabs. Updates should show progress against the timelines.
  • Develop external relationships to achieve new ideas and procedures to keep pace with Industry standards and methods.
  • Demonstrate cultural sensitivity - Show respect for different cultures and languages; learn to pronounce names correctly; speak English slowly and clearly when interacting with non-native English speakers; invite feedback to ensure others understand.

Education

Required- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience

  • Engineering - Chemical
  • Engineering – Electrical/Electronics
  • Engineering - Mechanical

Additional Information:

Knowledge or Certification in auditing, FMEA, or systems such as GES, GCP, etc.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively present to both small and large group.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain strong and open relationships with peer and other functional managers.
  • Have good communication skills in English verbally and in writing.
  • Good leadership and teamwork skills to communicate and educate WW team members.
  • Good interpersonal skills, critical in coordinating resources and actions.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Data extraction, analysis and reporting skills a plus.
  • Display good time management and judgment skills.
  • Performance must currently be meeting expectation.
