As a Quality Management Office (QMO) Audit Manager at Micron Technology you will be responsible to coordinate in the region a team for the preparation, support, hosting and execution of internal/external (certification/customer) audits and hosting or supporting external quality audits (customer and certification).

In this role you will be responsible for coordinating with internal teams all the audit activities, from planning to the effective closure of non-conformity and sharing of the results and the lesson learnt. Your responsibilities will also include post audit duties that include:

  • ensure proper root cause analysis to address systemic issues and determine actions necessary accordingly
  • communicate and coordinate with Micron departments to ensure action items have been completed to expectations
  • select and share key lessons learnt and follow up on the implementation of action plan to avoid the reoccurrence of the issue and to improve the overall Micron QMS
  • analysis of data from audits and provision of reports as needed as well as conduct reviews with site and organization leadership in the region


As Manager, you will provide regular performance feedback to team members, establish performance and development goals and plans and provide opportunities to expand skills and promote growth.

You will be required to work within QMO and with Micron departments and leaders to develop schedules, review documents and procedures, gather and evaluate information related to quality, and summarize and report findings.

You will be expected to be the primary contact within a region for any items related to internal/external quality audits.

Qualified candidates will have a demonstrated ability to solve problems and implement sustainable solutions, effectively communicate with all levels of the organization, and possess strong inspections/auditing skills.

Other duties include the contribution to maintain Micron quality system, to interpret ISO and IATF requirements, to participate in improvement projects, and supporting activities to resolve non-conformances. You will be expected to maintain a working knowledge of quality systems, methods, and processes to support in audits and help Micron to simplify processes to be more effective and efficient still maintaining compliance to external QMS requirements.

On top of the above, Customer Audits accountability is assigned at worldwide level.

Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Manage and Develop Team
  • Establish goals and conduct reach performance
  • Analyze and assign priorities and responsibilities, delegate projects/tasks and continually update group priorities
  • Provide your employees with the tools, resources and training they need to perform well and help to remove barriers when needed
  • Actively support and encourage learning and development for individual staff and teams including the provision of coaching and mentoring support with the final objective to bring value to Micron processes and organizations
  • Provide recognition and drive accountability
  • Plan Audit, Objectives and Schedule
  • Ensure development and maintenance of Internal Audit Schedule (System, Process, and Product Audits), and certification audit schedule for the region. Coordinate and maintain the WW customer audit schedule.
  • Represent the audit team with management of the audited area, with customers and certification body
  • Gather information from production, service, development and supporting activities and perform assessment to identify risk areas to be focused during the audits
  • Analyze department quality systems and previous audit information from multiple sources
  • Conduct Quality Audits
  • Coordinate internal quality audits (System, Process, Product Audits and special audits as required by the organization) and ensure value added non-conformity, strengths, and opportunities for improvement are identified in the region
  • Lead or support special audits required by management upon need
  • Analyze findings from internal and summarize them for presentation or report with the final objective to enable organization to improve processes, as needed in the region and worldwide
  • If needed, facilitate closing meetings to review and interpret results with management
  • Ensure proper follow up on audits to grant that solutions/actions are implemented to fulfill the requirements and avoid recurrence
  • Assist, when needed, for determination of action plan to solve non-conformities
  • Host external Audits
  • Coordinate audit schedule and preparation
  • Participate to audit on site and facilitate, when needed, closing meeting to review and interpret results with management, as needed
  • Ensure audit team follow up on audits to enable solutions/actions that once implemented fulfill the requirements and avoid recurrence
  • Analyze findings and summarize them for presentation or report with the final objective to enable organization to improve processes
  • Assist, when needed, for determination of action plan to solve non-conformities
  • Be the auditee for Manage Quality Audit process

Support Improvement of the Quality Management System through assessment and sharing best practices and participating in quality improvement projects

Maintain Knowledge and Awareness of auditor skills and competences  

Required Competencies

  • ISO9001:2015 and IATF16949:2016
  • VDA 6.3 version 2016
  • Automotive Spice (preferred)
  • Automotive Core Tools (FMEA, SPC, MSA, APQP, PPAP)
  • ISO9001 and IATF certification rules (preferred)
  • Prior experience in internal, customer and certification audits
  • Automotive process approach for auditing incl. risk-based thinking
  • Understanding of applicable customer specific requirements
  • Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and product requirements
  • Ability to work under tight timeframes and prioritize competing activities
  • Excellent organizational and management skills and outstanding interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Strong negotiation, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate within team and with cross-functional teams to understand needs and translate them into actionable plans, deliverables, and resource requirements
  • Good multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to complete assignments with minimum supervision







  • Master’s degree in chemical/Engineering/Physic or other related
  • ISO9001, IATF16949 auditor course attendance (certificate)
  • Quality tools certificate (FMEA, SPC, APQP, PPAP, MSA, 8D)
  • Fluent in English
  • Fluent in Chinese





  • VDA 6.3 Certificate
  • Master’s in quality management






5 years’ experience in any of the following:

  • Auditing In semiconductor industry
  • Dealing with Customers


Additional Information:
Desired 2 to 5 years of work experience as Manager
