Micron’s Taiwan sites include sales and technical support in Taipei along with state-of-the-art fabrication facilities in Taichung and Taoyuan that together comprise the company’s DRAM Center of Perfection. The Center’s goal is to achieve the most efficient and effective technology transfer and manufacturing ramp by combining front- and back-end manufacturing, product engineering and technology development roles.
As a Systems Engineer in the Product Engineering System Validation Group at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for system-level validation, failure analysis, characterization, and experimentation as requested. You will be running and configuring diagnostic software, designing experiments, analyzing and interpreting data, creating custom tools, and presenting data to customers both inside and outside Micron. On occasion, you may need to carry out these responsibilities at the customer site. To accomplish these responsibilities, you will use a variety of equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators, multi-meters, etc…). You will work with other engineers in the Systems Compatibility Group, in Application Engineering Groups, Product Engineering, Return Material Authorization (RMA), and throughout Micron.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Perform Failure Analysis (FA)
Perform System Characterization
Successful candidates for this position will have:
Familiarity with basic semiconductor processing, device physics, quality and reliability fundamentals
A high degree of self-initiative and ability to think and act independently
Good multi-tasking and problem solving skills
Excellent customer skills
Demonstrate a strong understanding of techniques and experience performing system level debug
The ability to work under tight timeframes and prioritize competing activities
Excellent organizational and management skills and outstanding interpersonal and teamwork skills
Proven ability to collaborate well with team members and drive for results
Strong verbal and written communication skills (In English and Chinese)
The ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand needs and translate them into actionable plans, deliverables, and resource requirements
The ability to effectively interact with a wide range of personalities
The ability and willingness to travel when required
3 years (or more) application engineering or design experience related to memory testing and computing knowledge
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, related field of study, or equivalent experience
Preferred Skills and Experience with:
• Hardware: X86, ARM, System, DRAM, Intel, AMD
• Equipment: Oscilloscope, logic analyzer, motherboard
• Software: Python, Linux
