Job Description

As a DRAM Engineering Group (DEG) Product Engineering Lab Technician at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for performing basic failure analysis (FA) using automated testers and other tools and equipment currently employed by the DEG PE group. You will be required to set up and operate these testers to collect data and communicate findings to DEG PE teams within Taiwan as well as globally. You will also need to learn basic tester maintenance and repair, and coordinate with external or internal tool vendors if advanced repair is required. You will need to be familiar with the Micron tool procurement process and carry out tool purchases as and when required. In addition, you will need to ensure the lab meets audit standards and keep track of the equipment in the lab.

Responsibilities and Tasks

Perform EFA and Track Tasks

Understand tester software and hardware configurations

Perform high-level debug of software problems

Troubleshoot hardware issues

Work with appropriate engineering teams to resolve equipment issues

Configure and upgrade test equipment

Perform Engineering Requests and Supplemental Tasks

Work with engineers to understand special test requirements

Execute requests and track results

Summarize test results and provide feedback to requesting engineers

Manage Failure Analysis Information

Submit purchase orders for new equipment upon request

Analyze and summarize FA data

Provide passdown of ongoing FA

Document failure analysis and test results

Lab housekeeping

Maintain tool inventory

Requirement:

Education: Bachelors degree of any of the following subjects:

Electronics

Computer Science

Related field of study

Experience: Preferred 2 years experience in any of the following:

Electrical analysis/electrical tester operation,

Fresh graduates are welcome to apply

Qualifications

Basic understanding of electrical/electronic principles

Good communication skills

Attention to detail

Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Proficiency in English

Ability to work on multiple tasks and balance priorities

Ability to work independently or in a group environment, with limited supervision

Unix/Linux experience is a plus

Programming experience in C, Perl, etc. is a plus

Shift

12 hour shift, 3 to 4 days a week

Able to work in night shift
