It is if you are a detail-oriented ASIC Foundry Engineer who is a self-starter and thrives in an independent work environment. Engineers inquiring about this position should be experienced in silicon manufacturing process, foundry technical documentation, design and tape out flow and requirements, foundry yield improvement flow. Foundry Engineer will work with design team and Foundry to support process selection, libraries and IP’s, to provide all necessary support and documentation during design process and own chip tape out and post tape out activities with special focus on yield improvement, analyzing the manufacturing failures and improvement of internal design DFM rules. Experience in Analog IP’s design is an advantage as well as a background in Statistical Analysis, Product and Test Engineering, Reliability and IC packaging.  Successful candidates should have excellent written and oral communication skills and should be comfortable in explaining technical concepts to a wide range of audiences including more senior engineers and management teams.


Experience in Foundry Process, understanding of advanced semiconductor FAB manufacturing process nodes, foundry technical documentation, Tape Out flow, manufacturing failure modes, yield improvement including work with advanced yield analysis and defect localization tools, background in Analog IP design, work with PDK and Spice simulator. Experience of work with at least one of big foundries, like TSMC, UMC, Global Foundries or others including design, tape out and silicon validation stages. Technical documentation authoring and editing skills.

Cross-functional experience and ability to work with ASIC analog and digital design, Physical design, Product and Test engineering and IC Package. Support ASIC-related failure analysis. Ability to work with different geographical locations and time zones.

Ability to organize and manage Foundry Deliverables, understand all changes and timely share important or critical information with relevant internal teams, ability to define/review/implement incoming quality tests and version control.

Advantage: background in Product Engineering and Packaging, hands-on experience in failure analysis and experience in statistical data analysis. Understanding of ESD and LU design and testing methodology and failure mechanisms.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in semiconductor design.
