Technician- Probe MFG ( 6 months contract)

Job Description
As a MFG Production Shift Technician, you are responsible for maximizing workstation tool utilization and optimizing WIP flow through the assigned workstations to meet tactical shift targets. You will need to work with Shift Eng Ops, Shift Equipment and PEE to identify and improve Tool releases, release blocked or hold WIP, improve tool utilization, optimize scheduling of WIP according to priority, prevent queue time breach, responding to tool alarms, performing tool setup, qual and targeting, and maintain optimum the Non Production Wafers inventory. You are expected to maintain housekeeping of work area and perform tasks safely according to procedures.
Responsibilities and Tasks
Uphold Safety and housekeeping compliance in work area and participate in safety improvement activity
Perform manual loading of Tools when AMHS is not available
Monitor Lot status and perform basic troubleshooting to optimize the Lot Scheduling to ensure timely scheduling for Priority Lots and Queue Time lots
Monitor AMHS delivery to Tool performance and perform basic troubleshooting on loading/unloading failures or delivery problem
Attending to approved machine alarms
Monitor Tool performance and perform basic troubleshooting to optimize Tool utilization
May assist in performing equipment set up, Quals and post PM recovery
Participate in continuous improvement projects to improve tool performance and optimize product flow.
Monitors and resolve manufacturing related Hold lots and Blocked WIP
Manage the Area Non Production Wafers Inventory, housekeeping and optimize the rework turn-around to meet the Qual and Setup needs
Support Shift Eng Ops in staging and running out Targets or SWR from Workstation
All team members are required to complete their learning items within the stipulated time frame
For business process and/or QMS component that one is responsible or accountable for:
a) ensuring the QMS/business process that is effective and conforms to requirements
b) ensuring that the processes are delivering their intended outputs
c) reporting on QMS/business process performance and opportunities for improvement to management
d) ensuring the promotion of internal and external customer focus throughout the organization
e) ensuring the maintenance of the integrity of the QMS/ business process when changes are planned and implemented.
f) ensuring customer requirements are met


  • Candidates holding GCE ‘O’ level/SPM and with manufacturing technician experience will also be considered.
  • Higher NITEC (ITC)/ NITEC (NTC-2 or NITEC Intermediate)/Malaysia Diploma in Wafer Fabrication/Electrical/Electronics/Mechatronics/ Mechanical Engineering is preferred


1 year experience in any of the following:
  • Manufacturing technician experience will also be considered.


  • Demonstrated the capability to follow Safety and Cleanroom protocol
  • Basic communication skills both verbal and written
  • Proven ability to analyze reports and metrics to identify constraints or roadblock to meet Shiftly output targets
  • Proven ability in the understanding of statistical terminology and application
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Suite programs; PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to be detailed oriented and able to follow and execute complex procedures.
  • Proven ability in systematic problem solving and implement Plan, do, Check, Act methodology
  • Willing to work on 12 hour shift in clean room environment.
  • 6 months contract
