Responsibilities and Tasks:


You will be responsible for working as part of a team verifying the firmware developed for a cutting edge storage design. You will interact with the architecture, hardware, firmware, and firmware test teams located in multiple geographies to gain full understanding of the firmware design. 


You will use your understanding of the firmware design to define test plans and to develop automated test scripts utilizing industry standard and internally developed test tools and platforms. You will oversee the execution of the automated tests run as part of a firmware continuous integration environment using software simulation and FPGA platform. You will triage failures, file bug reports and help the development teams with isolating issues.


Experience / Skills:

  • In depth knowledge and extensive experience with embedded firmware test development
  • Expertise in the use of scripting languages, programming tools and environment
  • Extensive experience in Python programming
  • Experience in the storage industry in SSD, HDD, storage systems, or a related technology
  • Understanding of storage interfaces including ideally PCIe/NVMe, SATA, or SAS
  • Experience with NAND flash and other non-volatile storage
  • Ability to work independently with a minimum of day-to-day supervision
  • Experience with team leadership and/or supervising junior engineers and technicians
  • Ability to work in a cross functional team and under the pressure of multiple priorities



Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or equivalent required
