As a Manufacturing Engineer at MSB, you will be responsible for executing area resource plans in terms of logistics and indirect peiceparts and managing, developing employee performance. In this role some of the tasks that need to carry out include exploring Lean manufacturing skill, smart manufacturing technology, lead continuous improvements activities to assist area management in running the production in a cost efficient and effective manner. You will need to forecast unplanned or ad-hoc staffing and training needs, monitor area performance and provide performance feedback, mentoring, and career development where appropriate. Other responsibilities include ensuring a safe work environment by performing regular work area inspections and conducting timely event investigations. You will be working with various engineering and manufacturing groups throughout the company. Responsibilities and Tasks Execute Area logistics and indirect pieceparts to support production Plans · Forecast production logistics and indirect peiceparts to ensure production readiness to meet changing and new demands · Review current resource inventory levels is sufficient to meet fluctuations in supply requirements · Review priorities and constraints with capacity planning prior to device start-ups · Identify current inventory levels Execute Continuous Improvements to Reduce Cost and Simplify Work Procedures · Review bottleneck areas, constraints on existing and new processes or work procedures with support groups · Participate on documentation pertaining to OJT development and simplifying work procedures · Participate in projects and assignments with direction coming from management · Track performance indices such as quality deviations, cycle time and productivity Assist in area production plans · Participate in area layout activities with industrial engineering, equipment and capacity planning groups · Forecast ad-hoc staffing and training needs to handle out-of-control situations or new requirement · Plan recovery actions to overcome and make arrangements to fill identified gaps · Monitor Hot Lots to process to ensure timely execution and notify management · Determine and request machine conversions based on time, technician availability, proximity, and future need · Support in implementing plans to meet production goals and communicate plans to appropriate support groups · Cover the duties of the line supervisor or manager in their absence as and when required
