As a Process Intern at Micron, you will work on cutting edge Processes in our Manufacturing Site. You are will part of the Process Team where you will learn our industry leading processes and work on how to optimise and improve them

You will get to experience how we maintain area processes by supporting manufacturing and increasing our through put. In this position, you aslo see how we respond to production issues, implement solutions, reduce costs, and improve yields. You will be expected to perform process development work. Additionally, you will use statistical process controls and data analysis to support your project.

 

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Collaborating with multi-functional teams to identify issues and resolve issues
  • Learn in-depth knowledge of wafer patterning in 3D NAND Production
  • Opportunity to craft and design experiments to produce solutions.
  • During the internship, you will see and learn how a global memory leader operates and runs its operations

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a Bachelors degree in Engineering or Science
  • Basic understanding of semiconductor manufacturing
  • Ability to learn quickly in a rapidly changing environment
  • Excellent organizational, analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Superb communication skills

Internship Project 1 Title: Quality Improvement Project - Wafer to Wafer (WtW) (across the furnace tube), Within Wafer (WiW) and Within Pillar uniformity variation study and improvement in selected Diffusion Furnace steps for Replacement Gate (RG) Technology

§Description: Fab 10, Micron Singapore, is looking for high energy, self-motivated, result driven individuals in the role to support 3D NAND development activities in the Diffusion Area. You will be collaborating with the Process Owners in Micron and Original Equipment Maker (OEM) suppliers to understand and sieve out Wafer to Wafer, Within Wafer and Within Pillar non-uniformities and come up with process improvement recipes to reduce the variation, and to summarize the learning and process improvements for submission. You will establish good understanding on the capabilities of Micron Diffusion Furnace Equipment, be able to work together with the Process Owners to learn and setup the process recipes, perform Design of Experiment (DOE) and gain experience on the collaboration work between Micron Process/Equipment Owners and the OEM suppliers.
§Scope: Develop skills on design of experiments (DoE), data analysis systems and ability to analyze, conclude and communicate the recommendations in clear and crisp manner. Apply fundamental understanding of chemical kinetics, thermodynamics to Diffusion deposition processes. Analyze and sieve out Wafer to Wafer, Within Wafer and Within Pillar variations across selected Diffusion furnace steps in RG technology; Come up with process improvement recipes to reduce the variation on selected steps, and execute the improvement with the Process owners to quantify the inline/Probe gain.
§Deliverable: To identify opportunities, provide recommendations and to execute the improvement to improve WtW, WiW, Within Pillar Uniformity based on the study and experimental data
 
Internship Project 2 Title: Predictive Model development project to predict pump failure at critical diffusion workstations using big data analysis
§Description: Fab 10, Micron Singapore, is looking for high energy, self-motivated individuals in the role to support 3D NAND development activities in the Diffusion Area. You will be collaborating with data scientist, Process Owner, Equipment Owner and Fab support team in Micron to develop and come up with model to predict furnace pump failure at critical diffusion workstations using big data analysis. You will establish good understanding on Micron Diffusion Furnace Equipment and Fab Support system, gain project management experience on predictive model setup and gain experience on collaboration work across various Micron departments.
§Scope: To understand and analyze signals from pump; To develop skills on predictive model setup through big data analysis, to develop and implement the predictive model which can accurately predict pump failure at critical Workstations; To summarize the learning and predictive model for submission.
§Deliverable: To develop and implement predictive model which can accurately predict pump failure at critical workstations
