IIoT Sensor Expert - Smart MFG & AI, IIoT

As a IIoT sensor expert in smart manufacturing and AI leader for IIoT at Micron Technology, Inc., you will report to the Smart Manufacturing and Artificial Intelligence organization. The team defines, drives and delivers end to end smart manufacturing solutions, integrated across business functions from Engineering and Procurement to Manufacturing, Marketing and Sales. The team will design and apply industry-leading methodologies in AI and machine learning and automation to enhance Micron’s technology development and business processes across the company.

 

Job Responsibilities

To support the team to develop IIoT smart manufacturing and AI solution including:

  • Support the IIoT lead to Identify, initiate, and prioritize IIoT initiatives in Micron BE fabrication and assembly plant
  • Innovate, research and evaluate new technologies and tools for quality output
  • Define estimate, planning delivery model for IIoT solutions
  • Assess and evaluate capex reduction with improve equipment utilization and throughput
  • Assess and evaluate variability reduction and product quality with connected sensors for tool/process/facility monitoring
  • Assess and evaluate material and cost efficiency using effective monitoring of raw material usage
  • Assess and evaluate impact of predictive maintenance reduce unscheduled downtime 
  • Work collaboratively with cross functional distributed teams in all phases – requirements, development, testing, launch/release
  • Work closely with Data Scientist & Data Engineer to translate sensors measurements/readings and generated output into tool anomaly detection and predictive maintenance model

 

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree and at least 3 years of work experience in semiconductor manufacturing
  • Deep knowledge of IoT landscape and solutions applicable to semiconductor BE/FE manufacturing
  • Superb interpersonal skills with demonstrable ability to effectively work multi-functionally with peers and senior and mid-level management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong knowledge and good experience in AutoCad and 3D printing will be advantageous
  • Highly organized and ability to remain flexible to the changing business needs
