The Global Procurement Program Manager is responsible for a wide range of duties that plan and execute improvements in processes, systems, and capabilities within the Global Procurement team to enable increased performance.  The position is required to perform program management (management of a group of related projects), process management, project management, and change management responsibilities as required by the scope of work assigned.

 

The Global Procurement Program Manager will lead people and cross-functional teams to ensure success of the programs and projects on the Global Procurement roadmaps, including execution, stakeholder engagement, alignment, adoption, metric report out, and delivery of business value. It is expected that this position will lead through influence and drive participation and involvement across the global procurement network with minimal direction. As required, this position also organizes and facilitates global forums, meetings and activities that drive engagement, alignment and change management across the Global Procurement team and partner organizations. This position works closely with Global Procurement leaders to prepare ad hoc executive reports and presentations on key roadmap programs.

 

Responsibilities and Tasks

 

  • Identify opportunities, build business cases, and implement change to improve the business
  • Lead cross-function teams to build and implement Global Procurement organizational capabilities, systems and processes.
  • Manage & lead collaboration and alignment between functions -- integration of programs/projects on the Global Procurement roadmaps, ensuring successful delivery of intended business outcomes
  • Identify and lead continuous improvement projects
  • Facilitate efficient and effective program and process execution
  • Plan and direct schedules as well as project budgets. Monitors the project from inception through delivery
  • May engage and oversee the work of external vendors
  • Apply best practices in project/program management and assist non-PMO project managers in the application of project tools.

 

Education

  • BA or BS with 2-3 years experience
  • PMP certification or graduate degree preferred
  • MS or MBA preferred, 0-3 years experience following degree

 

Experience

  • Proven experience implementing best practices in program and project management
  • Proven experience in program, change and process management, including solid knowledge of Agile and waterfall methodology
  • Knowledge of Procurement practices preferred
  • Strong experience in business metrics and reporting
  • Demonstrated process thinking and excellent attention to details
  • Able to work effectively in a cross-functional and dynamic environment
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to lead change
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent facilitation and issue resolution skills; ability to drive consensus 
  • Ability to effectively prioritize work and adjust to situations that involve conflicting goals
  • MS Project and Agile project tool application
  • 2-3 years’ experience in the following areas:  
    • Management/Leadership
    • Semiconductor Business
    • Semiconductor Manufacturing
    • Supply Chain / Procurement
    • Process, project and change management

 

Work Place

  • Early morning, evening and weekend hours required to facilitate work cross-sites (different time zones)
  • 2-4 international trips per year 1-2 week duration
