Global FE Planning Scenario Modeling Engineer/Snr Engineer

Job Description

As a Global FE Planning Scenario Modeling Engineer/Snr Engineer, you will be responsible to create model and generate guidelines for scenario studies in network to strive for stretched capability and meet the excellence of cost, Gb, and wafers out. You will work with various partners from Site and Central IE, Scenario, Capital, Facilities, Layout to develop the new innovative tools to optimize and refine the planning metrics and process used across network. The ability to grasp the business needs and manufacturing capability is critical to effectively consider in the model and used for analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Design and enhance the model to come up with all the metrics used for scenario planning across network
  • Establish business process on how those metrics being used
  • Collaborate with Global Scenario and IE Modeling team to understand the future node, traveler and process roadmaps to incorporate into the modeling
  • Collaborate with Global Capital team and procurement to understand the payment term and provide the guidelines for cash flow allocation
  • Sweet Spot study and analysis to identify the most optimized peak loading for different technodes at different sites
  • Site capability study based on available clean room space vs tools to fit (collaborate with Global Planning Layout team)
  • Handle and communicate improvement opportunities and implementation plans to relevant parties
  • Utilize new (e.g. Python) and traditional (Excel, VBA) methods to improve and automate tasks in the planning system/models.

Requirement

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mathematics or Computer Science
  • Experience in a combination of Capacity Planning, or Industrial Engineering will be a plus
  • Capable in crafting and developing web-based reporting metrics (e.g. Tableau, Angular, JavaScript, Python)
  • Strong ability to perform data analysis and problem solving
  • Capable to work independently and also effectively with others in a team environment.
  • Strong verbal communication and presentation skills.
