GP Communications & Org Change Manager

The Global Procurement Communications & Organizational Change Manager is responsible for internal & external communications and drives strategic change initiatives for Micron’s Global Procurement (GP) organization.

You will shape GP narratives across several key audiences and develop tailored communication plans that drive engagement through compelling content. As an Organizational Change Management coach and practitioner, you will help drive the people side of change for improved speed of adoption and ROI.

To excel in this position, you must be able to think strategically to help craft communication and OCM campaigns and plans, while also be willing and able to execute and see plans through to completion.


Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Take the lead in developing GP’s editorial strategy, external and internal narratives, key audiences, and channels to build engagement with Suppliers, internal stakeholders, and GP team members
  • Work closely with key partners across the organization to develop communication and organizational change management plans, messaging and platforms that engage employees in ways that support business or project results
  • Identify outstanding and intriguing storytelling opportunities to drive attention, excitement, and business results in support of GP objectives
  • Partner with GP leadership to identify changes that require communication or organizational change management plans
  • Coach senior leaders, front-line managers, project managers & team members to build OCM capabilities
  • Define and implement change management best practices and standards to build change management competency and best practices
  • Deliverables include but not limited to newsletters, presentations, virtual events / webinars, articles, organizational change plans, etc.


Education / Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, Communications, English, Business, Organizational Management, or related discipline.
  • Master’s degree or MBA preferred
  • PROSCI or related Organizational Change Management certification is preferred
  • A minimum of 3 years professional experience in organizational change management, corporate communications, project management, employee communications and / or public relations roles
  • Exceptional written communication skills, outstanding research and analytical skills, and skills in conceptual editing, copy editing, and proofreading
  • Love for storytelling and creating digital content that drives participatory change
  • Inventive, ambitious, and able to independently prioritize shifting workloads in a fast-growing, ever-changing environment
  • Self-directed, a quick learner who can build rapport and establish working relationships easily
  • A strategic thinker who can connect Micron & GP strategies to story-worthy moments and projects
  • Strong collaboration skills with a team-first mindset
