Global Facilities - Environmental Sustainability Engineering Lead (M&E)

As the Facilities worldwide operations and Environmental Sustainability Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for providing technical support, expertise, and lead business process alignment on Environmental Sustainability Engineering programs for the facility Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems at all front and back end sites.  As a global team member residing in your current site/geography, you will represent all facility Environmental Sustainability Engineering alignment initiatives.  You will also support the design and construction team providing critical Environmental Sustainability Engineering design input and support construction projects as needed.


Critical metrics include Environmental Sustainability reduction target on Emission, Energy, Water & Waste that drive to achieve Micron’s Sustainability goal and target.


Responsibilities and tasks:

  • Support the network effort to implement, monitor and drive continuous improvement for success of Micron’s Sustainability programs in alignment with the long-term Sustainability strategy
  • Benchmark system performance and drive Best-In-Class approach (BICs) across network
  • In depth review of site sustainability projects and sustainability data monitoring to support site’s and company’s sustainability targets.
  • Provide technical advice and support to overcome challenges and roadblocks in project planning & execution
  • Support sustainability projects achievement data acquisition and validation in central tracking depository
  • Expert understanding of each sites M&E systems operational and maintenance capabilities in order to provide advice support on Environmental Sustainability program
  • In addition to your global Environmental Sustainability Engineering role you will also provide site/regional support for global Environmental Sustainability initiatives at your location
  • Technically lead a global cross functional team focused on Environmental Sustainability operational excellence with the site M&E systems engineers
  • Provide support to all sites including on site presence for critical Environmental Sustainability program affecting the effectiveness of M&E systems operation and maintenance capability.
  • Actively involved in TPM implementation and alignment along with ongoing support for Environmental Sustainability M&E systems
  • Drive the alignment for common methodologies including SPC, conformance, SIPP’s, MOC and 8D problem solving throughout the network for Environmental Sustainability M&E systems
  • Identify and deploy cost reduction efforts while optimizing and reducing energy usage for M&E systems throughout the network
  • Assess and insure effective and consistent PM and predictive maintenance programs, procedures and checklists across the network while implementing Environmental Sustainability program.
  • Regular communication with the site engineering and O&M teams on status and performance of Environmental Sustainability of M&E systems.
  • Analyze and benchmark equipment performance. 
  • Identify and develop training and certification programs that support global and site efforts
  • Develop appropriate metrics to drive improvement.
  • Send out regular updates with key items of focus and initiatives. 
  • You will review FIPA/METS events and provide recommendations to drive the reduction of critical Environmental Sustainability M&E systems impact events. 
  • Collaborate with the construction / engineering team to insure alignment on Environmental Sustainability M&E projects
  • Review site Environmental Sustainability Capital (ESC) requests in collaboration with construction/engineering.
  • Review site Sustainability Projects and Sustainability Data Monitoring to achieve company’s sustainability goal and target.



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Energy Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • Singapore Certified Energy Manager (SCEM) Certification preferred
  • Excellent analytical and good decision making skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration with other groups, internally and externally
  • Proven ability to solve problems across multi-functional and multi-cultural groups within and outside facilities

Education Required 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Energy Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • Singapore Certified Energy Manager (SCEM) Certification preferred


Experience required 

  • 8+ years of Environmental Sustainability Engineering or Facility Engineering experience


Experience Desired

  • Lead or actively involved in global facility engineering efforts
