Job Description

 

Oversee and Manage MSB Environmental Health & Safety

  • Provide knowledge base of regulatory and compliance law
  • Provide business expertise to manage risk and ensure compliance (Process Management System - Plan, Do, Check, Act)
  • Ensure availability of qualified resources
  • Develop results and process metrics to measure EHS performance
  • Identify and manage overall tactical risk to MSB
  • Develop & mature emergency response/business resumption planning processes
  • Resolve escalated incidences
  • Maintain communication with Production areas to ensure that present and future needs are being met or exceeded
  • Coordinate with relevant parties regarding system design & processes
  • Review vendors as needed to improve systems and processes
  • Optimize department resources and break down silos
  • Manage departmental financial budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing expenditures
  • Develop and maintain a department expense budget
  • Review and update rolling budget quarterly
  • Identify opportunities to reduce or optimize costs

                               

Develop strategic roadmap for EHS

  • Ensure that sufficient processes are in place to monitor any internal and external environment
  • Develop future plan for customer and regulatory needs
  • Make adjustments to the plan and/or systems
  • Promote and negotiate the plan to integrate with customers functions
  • Monitor execution of the plan
  • Work with EHS Network to identify priority EHS changes
  • Align business systems to accomplish work and objectives

                               

Ensure Compliance

  • Maintain compliance to Micron EHS policy
  • Ensure all department operations comply with applicable outside agency rules and regulations
  • Update Team on changes in compliance understanding, as needed
  • Ensure Team receives appropriate training based on regulatory requirements
  • Manage and participate in Compliance audits;
    • Responsible Business Alliance (RBA)
    • ISO14001:2015
    • OHSAS18001:2007

  • Provide communication to direct reports regarding job expectations and changes

Requirements

  • At least 10 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position. Preferably specialization in Engineering - Environmental/Health/Safety or equivalent.
  • An accomplished EHS manager with a good record in improving safety performance
  • Good understanding and knowledge of OSHA & Local regulations
  • Possess the following
    • Workplace Safety & Health Officer, WSHO
    • Fire Safety Manager, FSM
  • Strong communication, team building skills and ability to train others at all levels
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational skills & Data Management
