As a Workforce Development Engineer at Micron, you will be responsible for collaborating with management, engineering, and production team members to develop and deploy department technical training programs and resources. In this position, you will establish a line of communication with department leadership to determine current and future technical training opportunities; conduct needs assessments and analyses to support both short-term and long-term technical training needs for engineering and production team members; and work with subject matter experts to design and develop technical training support materials for engineers, technicians, and operators. Additionally, you will develop and instruct technical classes on processes, equipment, and software applications; assist department team members with continuing education questions and provide career development and mentorship; monitor the efficiency of technical development programs; and work with department personnel to evaluate and improve existing training. You will collaborate with team members across the global Micron organization to develop and successfully transfer training materials for use at other sites. Some limited travel may be involved.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Partner with functional leadership to understand skill needs and develop targeted skill development programs
- Comprehend technical concepts and advise stakeholders on how to communicate content in meaningful and engaging manner
- Manage learning development programs/ projects, balancing effectively between priorities and meeting deadlines
- Employ State-of-the-Art training amenities to facilitate innovative and interactive learning
Requirements:
- Masters / Degree in Engineering or its equivalent
- Knowledge of semiconductor industry or processes is preferred
- Excellent writing, facilitation, interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience in course development and instruction is a plus
- Self-motivation and direction with a high level of initiative; and advanced computer skills
- Proactive and collaborate effectively in a rapidly changing environment
