Overall Scope of Role

Target and activate country-specific communication and marketing activities which communicate the value and differentiation of Micron as a company to diverse audiences including customers, employees, media, and influencers.

 

Job Description

Define and execute the communication strategy for Micron in Singapore 

  • Ensure Micron brand awareness in Singapore through the delivery of corporate messages, stakeholders’ affinity towards Micron, and a powerful draw to recruit and retain talents.
  • Position Micron as a recognized organization and enhance Micron’s industry leadership via close collaboration with local stakeholders to engage governments and ecosystem partners.
  • Define the communication strategy, focusing on branding, media, digital, social and event per Micron’s corporate objectives and strategy.
  • Partner with local stakeholders to enhance the Micron brand presence, media exposure, and internal engagement via solid marketing understanding and communication expertise. 
  • Work closely with local team to deliver exceptional brand experiences to target audience via communication activities.
  • Identify and establish mechanisms to understand and track Micron’s perception in the country.
  • Develop a country communication investment plan and identify key measures of success.

 

Work with Global Communication and Marketing and regional function leads to deploy corporate communication prioritizations

  • Work seamlessly with global GCM team for the execution of country communication plans.
  • Be responsible for understanding how Micron is perceived by all internal and external constituencies in Singapore and for driving measurable changes in these perceptions over time through targeted communication, marketing, and other activities.
  • Develop an annual country plan in line with Micron’s and GCM’s planning processes.
  • Champion GCM’s strategic initiatives, Micron brand and brand strategy as the country expert; continuously develop industry and competitive expertise and bringing that knowledge to different GCM functions.
  • Identify key industry or company milestones.

 

Be the GCM representative for the external and internal stakeholders in Singapore

  • Effectively communicate the values that Micron delivers to our stakeholders and the market and ensure all local messages are aligned with company’s business imperatives
  • Work closely with Global Operation counterparts in Singapore to implement global marketing plan to showcase Micron’s operational and manufacturing leadership  
  • Proactively reach to the counterparts in all sites in Singapore and host routine meetings to ensure strong coordination.
  • Develop and execute strategic communication plans in Singapore, with guidance from GCM’s external and internal communication teams.
  • Earn the trust of local key stakeholders to facilitate seamless communication execution

 

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in the development of B2B marketing strategy and execution for US-based companies
  • Outstanding marketing communication expertise
  • Ability to lead a full-function communication team with proven achievements
  • Ability to provide sound advice and counsel to senior executives and management teams.
  • Mastery of marketing services such as web development, digital advertising tactics, collateral development, etc.
  • Ability to effectively manage third-party partners including PR and event agencies
  • Ability to impart communication excellence to cross-functional colleagues
  • Ability to implement new ideas, projects, and initiatives with a growth mindset
  • Ability to measure and analyze results while making incremental improvements
  • Ability to learn new communication skills and achieve excellence in daily tasks

Education Required:

Bachelor’s Degree in the following field:
