Job Description

As the OEM Sales Sr. Manager, you will be responsible for managing a variety of sales operations and activities to achieve company goals. This will include but not limited to ensuring timely, accurate, and prompt forecasts, organizing financial modeling and statistical studies, integrating sales efforts with production to ensure adequate supplies and timely shipping. In this position, you will also be responsible for targeting customers or products to ensure optimal utilization of sales resources and designing and developing programs with the highest return. Sales ownership is expected throughout the entire sales process (qualification to end-of-life).

 

Responsibilities and Tasks

     

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Be responsible as the Key Sales leader for business plan alignment with Business Unit
  • Be responsible for both tactical (quarterly) and long-term execution to sales
  • plans
  • Be the Key Facilitator for driving internal operating model improvements to achieve Business Plan objectives In addition have a 6-12 month strategic market demand plan; have an analysis of market customer vs Micron Technology Roadmap; provide product support prioritization by Channel/customer; actively participate in Cross Channel Pricing strategies and alignment; be a key participant and/or key driver of cross functional operations; and improve efforts to include members from Sales Operations, Business Operations, SIG, and MPS teams
  • Establish a plan for reaching those objectives. That plan involves assigning actions and ownership to the appropriate Micron team members
  • Total ownership and accountability for general business management and development activities specific to the Micron’s strategic customers

Qualifications

  • Possess a solid understanding of, and sales and business development experience in, the SSD or HDD storage market with a fluid understanding of storage sales and the channel sales processes
  • Have strong product knowledge in storage applications, preferably in the areas of NAND components, SSDs and storage interfaces (SAS, SATA, and PCIe)
  • Have a seasoned understanding of storage test processes, reliability, performance attributes, and differentiation factors between enterprise/client segments is a bonus
  • Understand competitive dynamics and strategies of key industry players, technical and other differentiated capabilities required to win in the marketplace
  • Be able to manage projects at all levels, drive and lead key initiatives with horizontal leadership
  • Have proven ability to work independently in complex, fluid environments
  • Have a proven track record of delivering results in a dynamic, fast changing semiconductor industry
  • Have the ability to drive for results and meet deadlines
  • Have excellent organizational and management skills as well as outstanding interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Have strong verbal and written communication skills along with strong presentation skills
