Responsibilities and Tasks:

In this role you will be responsible for working with system, hardware and other firmware architects to define, design and help lead implement the firmware stack for new ranges of SSD controllers. This will be designed to be optimized with the latest high efficiency NAND flash and other future solid state memory and optimized for the mobile, client, and data center marketplace in terms of power, reliability, cost and performance.

You will have the opportunity for coding during firmware development stage in the area of performance tuning and monitoring. You will also have the opportunity to work with, and as part of, other teams designing controller architectures for other business segments from mobile to enterprise and to manage other forms of volatile and non-volatile memory.

This is a key role in advancing our overall business with wide ranging impact across our organization and company.

Experience:

•            Strong firmware background

•            Knowledge of C, Python and embedded firmware tools and techniques

•            Extensive experience in SSD architectural design including client and data 

•            Deep understanding of performance tuning including throughput and latency

•            Understanding of storage interfaces including ideally PCIe/NVMe, AHCI, SATA, UFS, eMMC

•            In depth experience of software and firmware development methodologies

•            Knowledge on FW test

•            Practical experience in the project management of firmware and software is a plus

•            Familiar with NAND operation is a plus
