Social Media Strategy Manager

We are looking for a Social Media Strategy Manager to join Micron’s Global Digital Marketing team. You will lead the development and execution of our social strategy across owned, earned and paid channels. You will govern our global channels, lead all aspects of social media crisis management, develop programs to activate our senior leaders and employees, and build out our social media capabilities across people, process, data and technology. You will harness the power of social data to inform our social editorial and community management locally and globally.

 

 

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

 

  • Oversee the ongoing social editorial for our global channels, and partner with our Studio design team to develop social-first content that increases reach and engagement.
  • Govern existing channels at both the global and local level to ensure a consistent brand voice and visual style for micron.
  • Launch new Micron-branded channels on established and emerging social to help us to expand our footprint in a way that is aligned to our strategy.
  • Lead the social listening and monitoring for both brand insights and potential risk/crisis scenarios, alerting the appropriate internal partners and providing strategic council in the case of crises that arise on social channels.
  • Develop strategic social media programs across employee advocacy, executive voices activation, and social influencer engagement.
  • Assist with the creation and implementation of our paid social program to increase engagement and reach with our content with specific target audiences.
  • Design and deliver training programs.
  • Contribute to campaign and ad hoc report development as needed using social analytics.
  • Report on overall social channel critical metrics and use data to continuously test & optimize Micron’s social media.
  • Manage social technology vendor relationships (e.g., Hootsuite, Talkwalker, Crisp Thinking) and ensure setup and configuration is optimized based on business needs.
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends that can inform future social media efforts, reporting to leadership and other social media practitioners.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressive responsibility in social media strategy and program development.
  • Extensive experience working for or with global Fortune 500 companies.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Communications, or related fields.
  • Experience working in a global environment with good interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal partners in multiple geographies.
  • A passion for social media and understanding its business impact, and an in-depth knowledge of social platforms and trends.
  • Keen sense of editorial and how to translate a corporate voice for social channels.
  • Track record of delivering performant social media campaigns, with a view to where social integrates with other digital and traditional channels.
  • Experience using social technology and data to measure impact and determine improvements.
  • Previous hands-on experience managing social media channels.
  • Ability to gracefully adapt to changing work circumstances.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of the Enterprise B2B Tech space and/or semiconductor industry.
  • Experience with social listening tools driven by Boolean queries.
