Senior NAND Design Manager

In this highly visible and challenging role at Micron’s advanced NAND development group, you will participate in early architecture development and product definition, projection of critical design specs, defining critical architecture design features, test plans, system integration considerations, and verification planning. Successful candidates will have in-depth knowledge of NAND memory physics, strong design skills, team member mentor, self-motivated, and a standout colleague.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Active participant working with system, process and test engineering to develop new architectures for advanced memory products
  • Detailed knowledge in design of analog/digital circuits includes some of these areas: OpAmps, voltage reference, oscillator, high voltage charge pump, regulators, switched capacitor circuit, NAND page buffers, efficient NAND array control, design simulation, layout supervision and silicon evaluation.
  • As part of a multi-disciplinary team, the engineer will participate in system-level modeling and simulation
  • Supervise layout and optimize layout throughout post-layout simulations
  • Silicon evaluation and characterization.
  • Prepares test methods and design specifications.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Typically requires 5 - 10 years of experience in memory design ( NAND, NOR, SRAM, DRAM, CAM etc) preferably non-volatile memory design (NAND FLASH, NOR FLASH).
  • Familiarity with Cadence design environment.
  • Requires experience with transistor level simulators such as Spice and gate level simulators such as Verilog.
  • Requires experience with some of these circuits: charge pumps, regulators, hv-switches, voltage & current references, col/row decoders, sense amps, op-amps, comparators, oscillators, switched capacitor circuits, A/D & D/A converters, transceivers & IO’s.

 

Education:

 

  • MS in EE and/ or 5-10 years of design experience
