Principal Product Development Lead

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Be the Product Development Team Lead - guiding a multi-functional product development engineering team to deliver SSD products aligned with a product delivery roadmap and schedule
  • Strong technical background, that includes ASIC, Hardware, Firmware, Software and SSD Development and Validation
  • Act as the Technical authority in the program guiding the Engineering teams and providing updates on development progress and technical issue resolution to the upper management
  • Be the Technical interface to the outside team, Marketing, FAE, and End customers
  • Work closely with the Technical Program Manager (TPM) in building SSD product schedule – taking into account all stake holder dependencies
  • Responsible on Requirement Management and Product features closure with the Marketing and End Customers
  • Accountable of the Program schedule, the Master Test Plan for the program is managed by the TPM
  • Responsible to Deliver the product to the Business Unit (BU) that meets Product requirements  and manufacturing guidelines
  • Conduct Lessons Learned, FMEA’s, and Design reviews during product development.
  • Responsible for generating and updating design process and product design documents
  • Collaborates with BU Core Team, and Product Development, Engineering interface for technical customer issues and questions



  • 10+ years in Hands-On Design Engineering in a leadership role
  • Bachelors of Science Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering. Master is preferred
  • Ability to plan, schedule and prioritize tasks
  • Ability to manage and direct engineering resources, ability to mentor and teach
  • Deep knowledge and experience in SSD development
  • Good understanding of critical SSD budding clocks -  NAND, DRAM and Controller
  • Good understanding of product storage interface specifications (PCIe, NVMe, ONFI, DDR), and their implementation
  • Ability to drive engineering efforts through all aspects of new product development and system level debug
  • Ability to work with and maintain good relationships with other cross functional teams, internal and external customers
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with multi-functional development teams and external customers
