As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Design in the Non-Volatile Memory Group at Micron Technology, Inc., will be core technical individual contributor in design and validation of the on-chip controller and mixed signal circuitry in NAND FLASH chips. In this highly visible and challenging role, you are responsible for architecture development and product definition, system integration and full-chip and block-level validation plan and execution. You will also work with RTL design and implementation of the controller hardware, synthesis, APR and full timing closure as well as development of firmware code for NAND internal operations. As a Design Engineer Intern you will work very closely with design teams both domestic and overseas on a variety of projects!

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Deep knowledge and experience in large scale design projects is desirable
  • Knowledge of Digital ASIC Design methodology is required
  • Proven knowledge of Verilog language
  • You have an understanding of and/or experience in synthesis and static timing analysis is desirable
  • Understanding of non-volatile memory design (NAND in particular) is helpful
  • Having experience with mixed-mode design and validation is a plus
  • You have hands-on experience with Design/Verification CAD tools such as ncsim, Design Compiler, Formality, PrimeTime, etc.
  • Knowledge and experience with transistor level simulators such as Spice, Ultrasim, HSIM is desirable
  • Knowledge of TCL, PERL or Python is a plus
  • You are able to establish and maintain good relationships with a diverse group of colleagues
  • Ambitious, proactive, and a great teammate (on the same team and outside of the team)
  • Knowledge of coverage methodologies would be helpful

Education/Experience requirements:

  • You are actively pursuing MS degree in Electrical Engineering, or pursuing BS and have 5 years experience (graduation date should not be prior to December 2020)
  • Having design experience of 1- 3 years is desirable.
