Intern-ASIC Characterization Engineer

As a member of the ASIC Development Engineering team, you will work closely with expert engineers gaining knowledge of high speed SerDes technology and analog devices while taking part in validation efforts on Micron controllers for SSD and Managed NAND products.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Design, develop, and test automation code to test analog devices and High-Speed transceiver blocks.
  • Ensure transceivers meets protocol compliance requirements for standards such as PCIe, and UFS.
  • Evaluate High-Speed and Analog IP from external vendors and internally developed sources.
  • Work with expert Test Engineers to correlate silicon performance with design simulations.

 

Requirements:

  • Hands on experience with lab test equipment such as Oscilloscopes, DC Power supplies, and Function Generators.
  • Experience in common scripting languages such as Python/PERL and object-oriented languages such as C/C++/VBA/JavaScript.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Experience in data analytics is a plus.

 

Education:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related field with a minimum of a 3.5 cumulative GPA.
