Micron Technology is looking for an experienced LSF and Enterprise License Management and Sharing Specialist who can utilize their knowledge and experience to architect, implement, maintain and optimize enterprise-wide license sharing across diverse geographic locations for semiconductor development environments. The successful candidate will work closely with our current HPC Platforms and Solutions, CAD, Engineering, Procurement teams and external vendors to architect solutions across various design sites and teams.


Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Propose and implement improvements to the current license sharing architecture to improve license utilization
  • Optimize license server distribution to maximize performance and availability of enterprise licenses
  • Work together with Procurement to coordinate and prioritize license acquisition
  • Collect, organize and present to CAD teams information from different sources in order to reduce potential licenses underutilization
  • Co-manage, maintain and troubleshoot LSF clusters at multiple, geographically disperse, locations
  • Configure Spectrum License Scheduler for efficient license sharing
  • Architect and implement intelligent system for early detection and alerting of license sharing problems
  • Perform benchmark testing and come up with the most efficient configurations for various batch loads
  • Develop/improve solutions that seek needs of various semiconductor design and development groups
  • Set-up and maintain proactive monitoring of all parts of batch systems in place and provide fast resolution to all the discovered problems
  • Work closely with HPC computing specialists to develop a global license and hardware sharing solution
  • Review and understand Spectrum LSF roadmap to be able to plan future software upgrades


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience, certifications will be considered
  • 10+ years of batch systems management and license sharing and optimization in semiconductor design environment experience is encouraged
  • Experience with enterprise-level license and hardware sharing
  • Strong critical thinking, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
  • Proactive and collaborate effectively in a rapidly changing environment
  • Drive strategic directions within the department


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with FlexLM licensing, software tools, and enterprise license sharing in semiconductor environments
  • Strong scripting (shell scripts, python etc.)
  • Proven understanding of Spectrum LSF, LicenseScheduler, and EDA applications internals and hardware systems
  • Development experience with Splunk encouraged
