Director Workload Analytics

Working in close collaboration with key internal (Micron) and external (Market) partners, the Director of Workload Analytics, based within the Compute and Networking Business Unit (CNBU), drives the definition, development, implementation and enablement of the group’s core workload analysis strategy. Disruptive changes in platform design continue to proliferate across the industry driven by application growth in critical markets including the datacenter. The ability to quantify, analyze and assess the critical workloads enabling these market opportunities is a Micron imperative. Utilizing a broad skill set based on full system stack expertise, the Workload Analytics function drives leadership in the development of high value solutions that demonstrate Micron’s unique product portfolio. This comprehensive portfolio spans standard and emerging technologies in the high-performance memory, main memory and storage space.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Define and develop a scalable portfolio of workload analytics including:

  • Workload characterization and benchmarking requirements
  • Memory tiering and stack optimization (CPU, HBM, GDDR, DDR4/5/6, 3DXP, SSD, HDD, IO)
  • Power/Thermal characterization, modeling and evaluation
  • Competitive Intelligence Analytics

Implement and drive a strong structural enablement framework with particular focus on:

  • The bring up and management of a workload analytics lab including all required SOW/DOE processes
  • Collaboration with key internal & external partners including xBU, engineering, sales, customers, enablers & ecosystem partners
  • The delivery of high value technical marketing solution support and collateral to key partners
  • The development of a tool set roadmap/budget process to drive long term analytics platform scalability
  • BU representation at requisite Micron-wide forums including Corporate Lab Council

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. MSc/MBA preferred
  • 8-10 years’ experience in Workload Analytics
  • 5+ years’ of people management experience at the Senior Manager or Director level
  • Excellent communication skills with extensive customer facing experience
  • Experience with bringing up a lab and knowledge of the required SOW/DOE processes would be highly desirable
