Director, Global Account Sales (Cisco account)

As the Sales Director, Global Account Sales (Cisco), you will have deep understanding of Cisco’s business, go-to-market strategy, competitive landscape and overall market environment.  You will be responsible for setting and implementing Micron’s strategy, leading the team directly and through your influence as well as developing deep relationships to position Micron as the memory and storage partner of choice.

The Sales Director will have ownership of and accountability for general business management and development, support enabling activities, design-in, and NPI sourcing, as well as securing production level OEM business for direct procurement.  You will deliver revenue to Sales Plan, while signaling critical needs and forecast demands to the supporting business units and other stakeholders in the organization.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Own the strategy: through collaboration with BU counterparts, the FAE team, executives and others within the organization, develop a best-in-class strategy to drive tighter partnership and share gains at Cisco
  • Manage customer relationships to establish broad and deep engagements at Cisco
  • Develop and manage new design activity to achieve strategic account goals and facilitate revenue pipeline
  • Communicate routinely and proactively with internal teams to ensure that Micron is on track to achieve defined objectives.  Create transparency/visibility to performance and holds team members accountable for their performance.
  • Negotiate pricing and key terms of sale, facilitate customer forecast, manage customer PO placement and open order backlog, secure supply allocation required
  • Understand customer supply chain, critical end markets and channels
  • Identify and document customer technical and business opportunities to define supporting proposals and strategy for engagement across the customer supply chain on a global scale where necessary

 

Qualifications:

  • 10 or more years related industry experience
  • A proven track record of delivering results in a dynamic, fast changing semiconductor industry
  • Extensive experience in sales in the Storage (NAND) and DRAM market place, with a strong understanding of ecosystem dependencies and sales processes
  • Strong product knowledge in applications, use cases and workloads for customer platforms
  • Ability to develop sales strategies, taking into consideration customer and company perspectives
  • Excellent negotiation and closing skills
  • Understanding of competitive dynamics and strategies of key industry players; technical and other differentiated capabilities required to win in the marketplace
  • The ability to apply broad knowledge to solve problems, drive for results and meet deadlines
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Proficiency in Salesforce.com

Education:

BS degree in Engineering and MBA preferred
