Do you have a broad background in Non-Volatile memory, have an insatiable desire to innovate? Do you thrive on approaching problem solving creatively and grow and develop an Enterprise Validation team for 3DXP based products? If so, you may be great for a Director, System & Software Validation position in our growing 3DXP team. This role includes hiring and managing a team of engineers to establish Micron’s 3DXP based products customer Validation, Test, and Qualification capability.

 

Your responsibilities include defining and developing 3DXP vertical stack test requirements, validation plans and strategies that encompass all aspects of product validation (EVT/DVT/BVT/FWT), test scripts, lab and equipment needs, tools, methodologies, and customer-facing joint qualification plans. You will be working in partnership with the Micron’s Hyperscale/Enterprise 3DXP customers throughout the Product Life Cycle to improve the cycle time and customer quality of Micron’s 3DXP products. Success will be measured by development and execution of high quality customer test strategies and capabilities, establishing strong engineering relationships with key customers, successful execution of internal testing and joint Customer qualifications, and the ability to influence the competitive direction of Micron’s 3DXP products. You will work with customers and translate their use cases into rigorous test scenarios in a compatibility test environment. Ability to manage large numbers of sightings/issues and drive them at a technical level. Be able to demonstrate success in communicating status, issues, concerns, strategies of programs and projects - including development of appropriate indicators. You are able to deal with ambiguity and operate with little direction to meet defined goals. You will be working with and through others to achieve goals and task completion. Comprehend and articulate validation strategies, plans and status.

 

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

 

  • System and Software Performance lab: Setting up lab infrastructure and tools to measure and analyze various application level performance of 2 tier memory hierarchies in a virtualized environment while incorporating various OS/Hypervisor variants and different CPU variants.
  • You will develop and design test plans/scripts to evaluate new product features.
  • Define, develop and implement software, firmware and device validation test plan and test content.
  • Integrate tests into an automated test environment and lead test execution to drive validation plans/strategy.
  • Review, track and document test results and sightings.
  • Drive issues to closure by interfacing/collaborating with product design teams.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • You possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
  • 10+ years of management experience in Product Validation.
  • Deep knowledge of Linux, Python, and Statistics.
  • You are strong in analytics, problem solving, and project management.
  • Experienced planning and tracking skills, able to see big picture, well-organized, focused on results, capable of running multiple projects, excellent time management with respect to priorities and self-management.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for bridging between scientific and business participants, for negotiating timelines and for effective collaboration.
  • Effective delegation practices to maximize resources utilization
  • Experience in managing and resolving conflicts at functional team level.
  • Experience in Management and implementation of effective annual Performance review System.
  • You have a deep understanding of system storage and the relationship to the platform ingredients: CPU, Memory, PCIe, drivers, OS, firmware, etc.
