Job Description


As a Cyber Defense Architect, you will work closely with various Micron partners globally, to collaborate on security solutions to keep Micron workloads secure, solve issues proactively, identify new opportunities, provide security advisory and drive initiatives.



  • Strong verbal and written communications skills; must be able to effectively communicate technical details and thoughts in non-technical/general terminology to various levels of the organization;
  • Be a technical advisor to various stakeholders to ensure policy and standard directives are defined with current threats taken into consideration during risk review;
  • Participate in security architectural reviews and be a technical advisor to other groups, understanding their business, risk appetite and consult on solutions; discover risks and recommend remediations;
  • A track record of consistent delivery and driving innovation;
  • Ability to move fast, a sense of urgency with growth mindset and excellent prioritization skills;
  • Ability to balance security with end user productivity to provide transparent, secure solutions;
  • Document new and existing reference architecture and design patterns used in the environment;
  • Successful candidates should possess: Conceptual and Analytical Thinking, Design Concepts, Problem Solving, Technology Innovation, Enterprise Perspective, Process Knowledge;
  • Experience with engineering a broad range of security solutions in three or more areas covering - infrastructure, applications, public Clouds, operations, IAM, Endpoints.


Skills (Must have):

  • Ability to collaborate with IT and the other business area teams to specify and architect multiple types of security controls;
  • Lead the design of multiple types of security solutions in a scalable way for a worldwide enterprise.
  • Ability to react to high pressure dynamic changing environments
  • Deep knowledge of security concepts in the various security domains covering authentication, access control, security monitoring, security testing, intrusion detection/prevention, attacks and countermeasures, cryptography, endpoint security, network and application security, assessments and audits;
  • Knowledge of cyber threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Understanding of potential impact of engineering changes, using data to support understanding of upstream and downstream dependencies.



Bachelors/Masters' degree in Computer Science, Computer engineering or equivalent experience in Security/Information Technology
