As Micron’s Content Strategist, you will lead the company’s corporate messaging framework and process. Reporting to the Senior Director of Corporate Marketing, your objective will be to help Micron’s internal and external partners understand what differentiates Micron as a groundbreaking leader in the industry, as well as the role of memory and storage in driving key market trends.

 

You will collaborate closely with other Global Communications and Marketing team members, business unit, and regional partners to develop compelling and meaningful content. You will also work jointly with the brand and content teams to ensure alignment with Micron brand direction, corporate narratives and thought leadership programs.

 

All messaging and deliverables will be aligned with Micron’s brand promise, voice and tone and intended to be integrated in communications across the company. You will be responsible for making sure all reference deliverables are kept up-to-date and are easily accessible.

 

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Lead development of Micron’s corporate messaging framework: define Micron’s brand story in support of the brand promise, “why Micron”, “why Memory and Storage”.
  • Define Micron tone of voice and writing style, in partnership with brand manager.
  • Lead Micron’s corporate messaging process and coordinate alignment with other content teams.
  • Supervise pool of writers (contractors).
  • Manage all Micron reference deliverables (About Micron deck, fact sheets, country profiles, etc.) used across the company for presentations to customers, partners and recruits, helping elevate Micron’s brand and position Micron as a groundbreaking leader in the industry and a strategic partner to our customers.
  • Integrate key messages from Innovation Agenda narrative and corporate POV narratives on key market trends (such as AI, 5G, IOT, AR/VR, etc.) into corporate messaging, content and collateral.
  • Develop messaging for all tier 1 corporate initiatives (Grand openings, M&A, etc.).
  • Contribute to content and demos for Tier 1 events (Micron Insight).

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Sales/Marketing, Strategy or a related field of study; or, Engineering or Technical degree with increasing exposure to over career to strategy, marketing and communications functions.
  • 10+ years of experience in Global Corporate marketing and communication functions; preferably for another Fortune 500 firm.
  • Extensive experience in developing and executing marketing and communications programs that bring to life the possibilities of technology and innovation to a broad set of audiences, including customers, media, partners, academia and team members.
  • Demonstrated success in leading corporate messaging framework and process at a Fortune 500 company.
  • Excellent written and verbal business communication skills. Demonstrated ability to develop compelling and meaningful content.
  • Self-starter with ability to think strategically and deploy tactically, able to “connect the dots” across the business.
  • Proven ability to influence professionals and senior leaders and to navigate complex and political landscapes.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with global partners and other functions in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Strong desire to drive improvement, not settle for status quo. Ambitious and results-oriented.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

 

Preferred:

  • MBA or Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Strategy or related field of study.
  • Experience in the IT and/or semiconductor industry.
  • Knowledge of IT and semiconductor industry highly desired.
