Job Description

As a FE Central Wafer Quality Engineer, you will be a member of the worldwide quality team responsible for driving quality and reliability improvement initiatives into FE MFG network. Work closely with PE/PYE/GQ, FE fab teams and MCT PIE to establish BKMs, set up KPI metric and develop a strategy for CIPs.  Additionally, you will also work with business partners and key stakeholders to develop the strategy for continually improving product quality and reliability for FE and supporting customers or activities for DPM reduction.


Responsibilities and Tasks

Provide Strategic Support in Quality Program/Project Management

  • Develop, manage, and/or communicate quality strategy with line of sight metrics and goals to monitor execution health.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives or enabling projects that support FLT and companywide quality objectives.
  • Develop and drive compliance in global business process related to product quality.
  • Manage the projects to enable the implementation path for new initiatives.


Provide Tactical Support

  • Work with cross-functional team to develop and deploy BKMs of BE to FE collaboration process like WL DPM forecast and RMA DPM reduction etc. 
  • Develop metric to monitor product targets, including PGL, Critical RD and DPM etc. Work with fab teams to meet targets and provide the roadmap.
  • Part of the FE quality team contributing as SME in reliability fail modes and its associated detection, drives and engages in quality projects for overall DPM reduction. 
  • Work with fab team to act on and provide Corrective and Preventive Actions with regards to customer feedbacks on quality and product issues. 
  • Work with fab team and collaborate with MCT PIE to ensure fast internal DPM reduction during tech node ramping.
  • Work with fab and PIE on process changes to improve DPM and repair density performance



  • DRAM architecture, operation, and specification knowledge
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Experience analyzing probe, backend test data, module test data a plus
  • Knowledge of process improvements impacting electrical fail mode
  • Strong project management skills a plus
  • GJS E3 and above
  • Ability to travel. Work location in Boise, Singapore or Taiwan.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience



  • 3 years’ experience in Engineering or engineering experience in a PI, PYE, PE, design, or QRA.
