SIG - Sr Business Operations Analyst

Job Description:

As an SIG Business Operation Analyst at Micron Technology, Inc. you will be responsible for working on key projects in the SIG Operations team while working with multiple stakeholders across the globe in a very dynamic environment.  Your primary focus will be projects (e.g. products).  Performing resource planning of demand/supply (capacity, headcount, capital expenditures, facilities, S&OP, misc. scenarios, etc.) will be a pivotal aspect of your daily responsibilities. In this role, you will communicate with a variety of separate groups such as Manufacturing (including Contract Mfg Planning), SBA, Procurement, Site, Finance, and FE/BE Central Planning. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Standardization of the Demand/Supply commitment process to different capacity-related inquiries through defining and documenting business processes with associated metrics (OTD, CRD, OEE, OLE and OFLT).
  • Attending and/or facilitating required meetings, including off shift as required.
  • Troubleshoot complex problems, involving inputs from multiple groups, in both a group setting and individually.
  • Supporting ad-hoc resource planning scenario analyses.
    • Act as key contact for questions and problem resolution
  • Driving best practices for planning data governance (master data).
  • Facilitate the development of strategies, capacity, and boundary conditions
  • Schedule recurring meetings in advance with clear agenda, deliverables, meeting notes and action item follow-up.
  • Communicate and implement concepts, ideas, and problem-solving options clearly to a wide range of team members globally
  • Communicate with SIG leadership team to ensure SIG is representing the projects/products appropriately.
  • Interact with management and executives effectively
  • Ability to analyze the demand vs capacity in CM and feedback timely back to SIG especially during un-forecasted ramp or spike.
  • Ability to understand SIG/BU forecast and demand signals; and monitor/challenge the CM on optimum inventory level strategies. (ROP and Safety Stocks)
  • Monitor and drive OTD (on-time delivery) and OFLT (Order Fulfillment Lead-Time)
  • Knowledge in capacity planning is an added advantage.
  • Exposure in managing contract manufacturers.

 

Qualifications:

  Successful candidates for this position will have:

  • Proficient computer and software skills within Outlook, Word, Excel, SharePoint, and PowerPoint applications preferred.
  • Ability to effectively analyze and interpret data
  • Ability to identify problems and drive solutions using analytics
  • Planning/Forecasting Experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Proven ability to learn independently and manage time with little supervision.
  • Proven ability to multi-task, be extremely detail oriented, and ability to make un-biased data driven decisions.
  • Ability to work in an ever-changing, high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and listening skills.
  • Ability to interact with various organizations and cultures, globally.
  • Ability to give and receive constructive criticism and feedback.
  • Willingness to work off shift hours to provide direction as required.
  • Willingness to provide face to face training to personnel worldwide.
  • Willingness to travel internationally and/or perform extended international business travel.

 

Experience:

Successful candidates will have experience in the following:

  • Manufacturing, Customer Service and/or Planning experience preferred, including nomenclature, attributes and overview of Planning End to End, from demand to delivery to customer
  • Experience in a related job field inside or outside of Micron or equivalent educational program.
  • Working in rapid start-up teams with new colleagues
  • Building and driving teams to reach resolution and goals
  • Leading cross-functional projects for continuous improvements
  • Coaching team members on ways to be efficient and effective in planning roles

 

Education

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent (5+ year) experience in any of the following:

  • Industrial engineering
  • Business/Finance related
  • Supply Chain
  • Customer Demand Analysis / Forecasting
  • Production Operations Management (POM)
  • Related field of study
