Job Description
As a QA Technician, you will be responsible for performing equipment maintenance/calibration, troubleshooting problems on equipment, converting equipment as needs arise, working with vendors/relevant authorities on equipment matters, install/setup new equipment as needs arise.
Responsibilities and Tasks
- Maintain, Repair, and Calibrate Equipment
- Diagnose equipment problems and implement solutions
- Use equipment tracking system to obtain equipment history
- Ensure record keeping/documentation in equipment tracking system
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Perform calibrations on area equipment
- Coordinate/Support calibration activities to ensure compliance to specifications
- Select and utilize proper test equipment and tools
- Comply with standardize procedures and guidelines
- Stay current on process and equipment procedures
- Keep work areas clean and organize
- Install/Setup new equipment
- Modify/Convert equipment as needed
- Use problem solving skills to resolve issues before they escalate
- Maintain/Provide effective communication with both internal and external customers
- Communicate/Work with Production and Engineering on equipment problems, changes or request as needed
- Provide feedback/observations and data to the engineering/production
- Mentor and Train other Team Members
- Meet expectations and requirements of internal/external customers
- Respond quickly and positively to all customers
- Reprioritize work when customer needs arise
- Recognize all customer needs and respond with respect
- Identify and Promote Process/Equipment Improvements
- Provide On-The-Job training to peers/other Team Members
- Provide technical support as needed
- Contribute to a Safe and Compliant Work Environment
- Maintain required certifications
- Remain actively involved in quality equipment improvement
- Assist with experiments or equipment evaluations to reduce inefficiencies
- Assist with process experiments and qualifications
- Assist with new and converted equipment qualifications
- Engage in Operational and Administrative Roles
- Identify and promptly report hazards
- Follow safety procedures and area work rules
- Assist supervisor in daily operations/audit
- Support engineer/manager request

Good written and verbal communication skills
