Channel Account Manager

The Channel Account Manager is a key position in our sales organization! In this role, you will directly run Insight and other NSP accounts, being responsible for the sales goals for Micron. This requires daily interaction with accounts to create relationships, negotiate programs, price deals, drive net new business, account planning, forecasting and represent Micron in all ways to your assigned accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships with Insight sales to drive new opportunities for Micron.
  • Create and maintain a current account plan including mapping TAM and share.
  • Work internally across various groups to solve any issues including credit, pricing, reporting, marketing, contractual or operational issues.
  • Coordinate and lead QBR meetings with C-level attendees.
  • Prospect end customer leads and facilitate new sales through the channel to create an expanding pipeline.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of Micron products so that you can be the trusted advisory when customers are selecting products.
  • Understands the different workload requirements for specific applications to make storage recommendations.
  • Be a specialist on DRAM and SSD market pricing and be viewed by your accounts as the go to for these categories.
  • Respond to and follow up on bid requests.
  • Work with operations to solve escalated issues.
  • Provide pricing to your accounts on a regular basis. When deals need special pricing, engage product marketing and pricing teams to win the deal.
  • Monitor customer reports and track down any reporting needed for Micron programs.
  • Maintain relationships with purchasing department to facilitate correct sku basket and channel inventory level.

Key Qualifications

  • Experienced working with data center environments and strong background in technology.
  • Previous experience working with Insight and PCM.
  • Strong understanding of the channel and go to market strategy.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience in Sales
  • Ability to travel up to 60% of the time.
  • Comfortable engaging with all levels of a company from entry to C-level.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where you will cover multiple sales accounts.
  • Self-starter who can handle their own workload but be part of a team.
  • Willingness to engage people they don’t know over the phone or in person to drive relationships.
  • Have a sense of urgency around taking care of the customer to resolve any issue.
  • Be able to work effectively with multiple tasks at any given time
  • Willing to “own their business” and drive towards a quarterly sales quota.
  • Located in the Phoenix area and able to be onsite at Tempe location daily.
  • Strong ability with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Preferred experience with Salesforce, Model N, Quickbase
