Senior Manager, Module SSD NPI

As a Module SSD NPI Manager, you will be responsible for leading technical crew and working together with other functional groups locally and/or globally to accomplish organizational and business objectives by ensuring the New Part Introduction/ Proliferation business process, Technology Development business process, Design for Manufacturing (DFx) & Material Engineering are executed to plan. As part of Talent Development, you need to hire and train people with appropriate technical expertise and drive for excellence. As NPI Manager, you will also be in close collaboration with Package Development Engineering, Global Quality, Production Operation Management, Central Teams along with site operation teams and is responsible for the effective ramp up of new products and packages in Module SSD manufacturing to business plans. 

 

Job Responsibilities:

Execute NPI sample builds to the Plan 

  • 100% sample builds to original promised date (OPD)
  • Hold end-to-end view for sample execution & lead the extended team on readiness
  • Conduct Phase Gate reviews with effective and timely closure
  • Ensure 100% success with MST qualification builds
  • Provide leadership and resolve with network team on NPI KPI misses

Establish Design for Manufacturing (DFx) rules and uphold material quality in NPI, LVM and HVM phases

  • Contribute to DFx rules from lessons learned with shift-left mind set
  • Validate and mitigate risk due to non-DFx compliant product designs, if any
  • Perform DOE using test board to improve capability and reduce design constraints

Develop 'Should-Be' cost model with Central Team

  • Model process-of-record and tool-of-record during product development
  • Publish EPT (processing times) for workstation with load factors
  • Publish bill of materials and support risk mitigation with second sourcing

Define and develop capabilities, strategy and roadmap

  • Maintain a matrix on manufacturing capabilities - tool, material and processes
  • Leverage material and equipment suppliers to roadmap
  • Regularly conduct benchmarking exercise 

Develop People to enable Center of Excellence model

 

Requirements:

· Bachelors degree in Engineering, preferred mechanical, material, electrical & electronics engineering

· Minimum 8 years of working experience in PCB assembly industry; specifically memory manufacturing would be an advantage

· Structure approach for engineering program management

· Quick learning on industry trends and position the team ahead of curve

· Strong leadership skills and adept communication ability

· Excellent problem solving skills and strong analytical abilities

· High degree of self initiative and ability to think and act independently

· Possess ability to work under tight timeframes and prioritize competing activities
