As PDE Advance Process Control (APC) Engineer, you will be responsible but not limited to, for development / support of highly automated and computerized Backend equipment (Assembly). You will lead and/or participate in teams to support, improve, provide innovative solution and recommendation to enhance Fault Detection and classification strategies for both PDE/New Product (Assembly, ModSSD, MeterRDA) and Global Manufacturing facilities, understanding system dependencies, project planning and championing APC alignment across network. You will be responsible to drive APC related project across network.


You will required to support PDE Equipment Engineering Group (KEG) to validate and analytics of sensors on IOT platform. You will be involved and collaborate with PDE API, Data Sceintist Team to implement large scale data solution from data streams and intellegient system including transforming, supporting, configuring and enhancing existing data solutions.


This is a cross function role that required to interfacing with all function in PDE, Global Manufacturing sites, MCT, Global Quality (GQ), and Procurement as well as interaction with equipment and materials suppliers to drive area manufacturing issues forward and establish area improvement roadmaps and to accomplish your objectives.


Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Identify & maintain Traces, Fault Detection and Classification & dependencies for New Product & Global Manufacturing
  • Define standards, Implement, comply, maintain and improve established standards
  • Manage the implementation of controlled modifications using Change Management methodologies
  • Collaborate with PDE KEG to deployment of new sensors using IOT platform. Including but not limited to setup , validation and analytics for sensor data in enterprise setting. Deployment and on-going maintenance of FDC strategies (data collection, summarized indicators, limits, OCAPS, etc.) using AMAT E3 & others.
  • Understand and follow worldwide FDC best known methods (BKM), business rules and standards, and change management procedures. Including proper documentation, escalation, and follow-up to completion
  • Responsible to align, share, and review FDC strategy best practices and excursion/scrap prevention with world-wide counterparts
  • Utilize advance data analytics and machine learning techniques to draw meaning inference from sensor data for quality risk mitigation, predictive maintenance or  cost reduction. Monitor strategy performance and effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement
  • You will collaborate in data architecture and work closely with PDE API, Data Scientists, IT to employ techniques and theories drawn from areas of mathematics, statistics, and information technology to uncover patterns in data from which predictive models, actionable insights, and solutions can be developed.
  • You will interact with experienced Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Business Areas Engineers, and UX teams to identify questions and issues for data analysis projects and improvement of existing tools.
  • Enable data in structure and performance to help develop software programs, algorithms and/or automated processes to cleanse, integrate, and evaluate large datasets from multiple disparate sources.
  • Strong software development skills with one or more high-level client, object-oriented languages listed: (C#, JAVA, Python, Scala, Tibco DV, Spotfire....)
  • Design and implement optimum data structures in the appropriate data management system within Hadoop, Hive, SQL Server, etc to satisfy the performance and accuracy requirements
  • Identify and select the optimum methods of access for each data source (real-time/streaming, delayed, static)
  • Work with Data Scientists to implement strategies for cleaning and preparing data for analysis, to develop data imputation algorithms, and optimize performance of big data and machine learning systems
  • Identify and understand the data sources that are relevant to the business problem
  • Optimize table schema based on usage patterns. Actively participate in growing and develop the team of data engineers
  • Ensure that the data is fit to use for data science applications
  • Plan methods for archiving/deletion of information
  • Project Management



  • Master’s / Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Engineering discipline with an inclination towards software technology.
  • 3+ years’ experience in B/E operations or related manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Excellent Project management skills.
  • Highly result driven individual, self-motivated and ability to multi-task and manage dynamic priorities.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skill and a good team player.
  • Ability to participate in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Experience in semiconductor manufacturing and packaging is an advantage.
  • Occasional travel may be required.
