Job Description

As an Inbound Supply Management individual contributor, you will develop and execute a holistic strategy and be part of a global team dedicated to this function across all Back End manufacturing locations.

 

In this role you will participate in the implementation of the global inventory strategy by establishing site-specific implementation timing, identifying required implementation resources and developing communication channels and tools to introduce the new strategy.

 

You will participate in the development in building the strategy for global inventory by understanding current and future needs, an analysis of market and company trends, perform and participate in the benchmarking of world-class approaches, and identify opportunities to leverage changes in processes, systems and product/services. Then prioritize and drive the implementation based upon estimating timing and level of savings captured.

 

Other responsibilities include ensuring department compliance to company policies and departmental procedures. You will be responsible for providing input back to leadership on the building and implementing department strategies, processes, and policy through active participation on teams and projects.

 

Roles Responsibilities and Tasks

​Execute Strategic Improvement Plan for Global Inventory Locations
  • Work with direct and cross-functional teams to implement and execute global inventory strategic direction for FE and BE manufacturing sites
  • Implement recommended actions to achieve targets for global inventory value, turns, safety stock and replenishment points.
  • Implement inventory specific savings levers such as vendor stocking, supplier managed, or consignment programs
  • Execute the implementation of inventory strategies and compliance and participate in the resolution of any constraints or issues
  • Deliver ASE/QBR scorecard metric targets to Category Team
  • Communicate global inventory status, trends, and results to the ISM Director along with all pertinent stakeholders
  • Monitor and adjust global inventory compliance to regulatory and policy requirements
  • Actively participate in Weekly Work review meetings to measure and monitor performance to identified KPI's through aligned metrics   

 Interface with Stakeholders, Procurement Partners, and Suppliers on Global Inventory Strategies
 
  • Ensure stakeholder requirements met
  • Communicate strategic goals, inventory management plans, initiatives and targets to stakeholders, suppliers, and global procurement teams
  • Maintain relationships with stakeholders
  • Drive and Sustain effective communication internal and external stakeholders

 
Collaborate with Stakeholders to Deliver Strategic Solutions

 
  •  ​Develop and maintain expertise in global inventory management through relationships with stakeholders, suppliers, and industry trends
  • Implement processes to monitor stakeholder satisfaction
  • Drive customer-centric approach to solving issues and representing Procurement
  • Maintain close interaction with procurement category teams to ensure category-related needs are addressed
 
 

 

Education

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in:
• Business
• Business Administration/Management
• Engineering
• Supply Chain Management
• Related field of study

 

Experiences

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Minimum 1 years' experience in one or more of the following: Engineering, Purchasing/Procurement

 

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills preferred
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to be a persuasive advocate
  • Demonstrated relationship management skills
  • Innovation and Teamwork focused
  • Able to work independently or with a cross functional team
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications
  • Knowledge of SAP will be added advantage
